Xhaka red card

Think Walcott is a doubt as his wife is due to give birth. So ox or Sanchez on the right with giroud up top.

Ramsey on the right even if Walcott is available

posted on 17/11/16

Surely Walcott has been very good on the right for you this season?

Would you really have Ramsey there instead?

Ox if anything. Sanchez on the right.

The last Arsenal player to score in the league vs a Mourinho team is Gilberto Silva. He left in 2008 ffs

Xhaka has 2 yellows and 1 (very harsh) red from 13 games this season. No worries there.

I get the feeling Jose might play Young in defence. Maybe a good thing for Arsenal but he was in defence when we won at yours a couple of seasons back.

Martial vs Jenkinson oh dear, that's very worrying.

Anyone but ox. I really think Wenger needs to sort out his dislike for Campbell. He is a consistent 7/10 player. Puts in a serious shift defensively, can actually hit the target and has a brain.

Ox is the definition of consistently poor. One or two good games followed by 6-7 very very poor games. He had his good games a few weeks back and starting with his appearance versus Spurs, I'd say is in line for his regular poor run of form. I'd almost start Ramsay out wide (gag me) if Theo is not available.

No, that's the definition of inconsistent. Consistently poor would be garbage every week.

My two main concerns are being done down the wings and losing discipline.

Mata and Lingard playing wide with Darmian at full back (as someone put) would ease the first fears a fair bit. Wouldn't like to see Martial on the left, tbh, despite his pretty awful season so far.

Discipline is key. Coq and Xhaka both love to put the boot in, so need to be careful. Jenkinson and Mustafi would be a worry as well, if our right side is exposed as it should be.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yep that's the key. I'm not actually that worried about Jenkinson, these days he tends to do alright in the bigger games when we think he'll get ruined and struggle against teams like Swansea or Southampton. Mustafi just needs to keep his head screwed on because he's a cracking defender but has the same rash streak that Kos used to so gets caught out a bit.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Jenkinson is normally solid, but he is still coming back after a serious injury and long layoff. I am nervous for him and he will need protection on that wing. The new look Theo may be helpful, but Ramsey and Ox are hit or miss.

In all seriousness, I've no idea.

Arsenal look weaker in midfield and attack than they have in some time imo. Some good defenders though.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes. Coq is decent, as is Xhaka, neither are fantastic.

Sanchez is better from wide, Ozil isn't in great form and Walcott will always be Walcott.

Cazorla is important for them and they look better when they have a natural striker up front.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Do you just make stuff up to get a rise out of people or do you seriously believe what you are saying? Ozil is widely believed to be in great form this season and Sanchez is playing some his best stuff since he signed for us and has been a revelation upfront.

Coq is also in really good form and Xhaka has hardly played. But apart from that well done - great well informed opinions

I am a little concerned about the severe lack of false bravado by the Arsenal fans on here today.

Jose does that to arsenal fans

Even with a mutinous Chelsea side last season they still beat Arsenal.

On Wenger's 600th game (or some milestone) an average Chelsea side beat them 6-0 3 seasons ago.

Chelsea fans are right to fear Jose

ahh but all Wenger's failures were when he was Chelsea boss and they had a top side whilst we were inferior. Different story now.

Having said that I still reckon we'll struggle...
