Kyle Anderson has had to pull out, so Andy Hamilton gets in.

Good news for Brendan Dolan, as everyone below Kyles ranking of 23 has been moved up. So instead of facing MvG, Dolan now faces #2 seed Benito van de Pas - a far nicer prospect.

Appreciate the time spent on this as always. Dolan dodging one and Henry the eighth Hamilton back on the box will be good along with the Dutch destroyer VVV. Early shifts Fri and Sat so a nice afternoon and evening to be had.

This should be good tbh.

The change in rankings after Andersons withdrawal make some interesting draw alterations.

Adrian Lewis, rather than Gary Anderson, is now in line to face MvG in the quarters.

Ando may appreciate that, but his section looks very tough. Ando could face Bunting in second round, with Wright or Wade in round 3.

The way the draw has worked out, semi finals look a good chance for Jelle Klaasen and Simon Whitlock.

Lewis looks out of sorts although capable of turning it on for 6 legs in a row against anyone. Really prefer the combination of Warriner and Mason than Mardle, not so bad Harrington and Part.
After your analysis of the draw I may have a bet on Whitlock, coming back to near his best at times and won't be long before those 170s come flying again.

Whitlocks route to the quarters:

Round 1 - Matt Edgar
Round 2 - Darren Webster/Jonny Clayton
Round 3 - Dobey/McGowen or Norris/M.Smith

Good to see Van Der Vort back in a tv tournament, who has he got next round?

It seems every competition has a different seeding system at the moment. Tell me DJ how on earth is van de Pas number 2 ranked?

posted on 26/11/16

It is done on the 20 "Player Championship" floor competitions.

VdV has MvG next

MVG next!! Thats that then.

Incredible to think Taylor didn't make the top 64 (l know he picks and chooses these days). Makes you wonder if this time it really is the beginning of the end?

I think as long as he can keep his seeding up he will fancy the World's
The problem with this one is that a lot of the qualifiers were played during the PL season.

I like the use of different ranking systems in a couple of these events, mixes it all up a bit.

BTW keep your eyes peeled for the World's 'prediction' game next week. The draw is Monday so I will try and get it on for Tuesday or Wednesday. It is in the format of a fantasy football type thing where you pick a 'squad' of players and get performance related points.
Ran well last year.

From 6-0 down as well

Peter Wright also came back from a big deficit to win 11-8.

Now a youth final between van Peer and Cadby.
