Sadly for Phillips he is learning his game in a mediocre midfield. I reckon that once Bridcutt and Pablo are fully fit and playing alongside him, he will improve and mature much quicker.
Plus Pablo can take corners.

Rotherham is his level so your probably right mate. We were doomed from the start playing average kids against Colback and Shelvey.

He is a Decent player but if he's in the side in three years, it means we're still struggling in this league

At 20 he's to old to be here, won't improve and will be worthless in the next year or so!..

Cant work that one out, did you know Celtic have a 13 year old on their under 21's book's, I wonder if he'll ever make it!..

Bloody hell! I knew they were quicker than us but not by a full day!

I've never really rated Phillips but since the start of the season he has got better with every game but on Saturday he was poor.

Granted he was playing slightly out of position so I cant criticise him too much but when everyone is fully fit he doesn't get in to the side.

Getting better, how much better by next season will be key

I believe he's in the side under Cellino's instructions. Put him in the shop window sort to speak, to earn a quick buck, otherwise he might not be able to sign all of the loanees. You don't drop Diagoraga and Murphy and play two inexperienced kids. Phillips was playing in the dev squad this time last season, were supposedly a lot better now

He's got a lot better, plays better in his deeper role with Pablo in the team. I like his hard tackling.
