How can you trust leaving your kids with an after school kids football club?

It's been known about since the 90's at least. Lad I used to work with was on Wrexhams books and he told me years ago.

I used to coach my sons age group and we all had to be CRB checked. Thankfully they don't frown on charges for dealing, other than that they're quite strict.

In fairness, schools are very strict with background checks these days. It's always in the back of my mind whenever I take my daughter somewhere different, but you've just got to go with your gut instinct. If you're not comfortable with a person, then don't leave them there.

Thankfully, I'd say these events are extremely rare.

Term how would you ever know though unless the child tells you. Where can you leave your child thesedays. There was a crime watch piece about 2 mothers who took their kids to lego land and they let their kids go into this kiddy house and somehow there was a man in there and he abused two girls I think. They came out and told their mums. The guy was hiding in there. Disgusting

I I ow the case u stated. Apparently it was actually a teenage boys that did it. But I agree re your concerns. even with crb checks etc they are valid for only a point of time and it still will not totally eradicate the peados.

I coach under 11s at the moment and have been coaching the same group of lads since they were 6 (basically progressing with RITH jnr)

CRB (or DBS as it's now called) are only once every 3 years which is fairly dodgy anyway, as well as it only being relevant if the person(s) associated have been found guilty of any wrong doing.

I personally think paedo's are snidey sick fackers who wouldn't have the balls to do anything extrovertly criminal so DBS's won't tell you much.

This is where safeguarding comes in, being attuned to moods in kids, if they're off their game, being disruptive or not as disruptive as usual.

Have to say that seual abuse is pretty uncommon with neglect being a far more common form of abuse which can condition a youngster to be more susceptible of other types of abuse.

You don't know, but the alternative is never letting your kid out of your sight, which will harm there development and potentially affect their future anyway. You cannot assume everyone's a pedo, it'll drive you mad.
