Really like Sigurdsson. Watch him closely and you realise just how talent he is. Great shooting from open play and dead ball and gets involved by being in the right positions. Definitely someone to have in the team.

I think we made a mistake in selling Sigurdsson and Nacer Chadli TBH.

He wasn't good enough for us. Like Chadli, he would be a handy squad player, but ultimately not the calibre of player we should sign. I still cannot get over the fact we sold VDV and replaced him with Siggy, you could already predict a slump from that transfer alone

To say he is 'technically brilliant' is laughable. He has a very good strike, can cross and occasionally pick a pass, but his close control/dribbling/lack of dynamism is nowhere near the best #10s

I actually agree with Don to an extent, maybe not Swansea but an Everton/Southampton is his maximum capability

What Analog said

He wasn't brilliant at anything in particular for me. Decent shot but as somebody mentioned already, he had a tenancy to shoot from silly angles and distances, which is great when they fly in, but more often than not there is a better option which in turn made it frustrating viewing when the ball was handed back to the opposition.

With hindsight, it would be great to have him with us right now, but you could say the same for many players who we got rid of in order to keep the squad fresh at the time

We rarely played him in his best position here, no wonder we never saw the best of him. He was no more a left forward than Dele Alli is.

29 in 99 for Swans
9 in 36 for Hoffenheim
18 in 42 for Reading

That is what you get when played in his proper position - a goalscoring, hardworking player who plays off a 9
