He's done well, put in a respectable performance in the CL as well in a really hard group too.

Bottom of the group, with no wins, below a poor Monchengladbach team. Respectable.

Drew both games against Manchester City, a team with a budget that dwarves Celtics.

Gave Gladbach a good game in both matches and Barcelona a good game at home too.

Certainly a better performance than United's last year.

No wins and bottom of the group behind a poor Mochengladbach side is not respectable, whatever way you try and spin it.

When you are in a group with Barcelona and Manchester City, two of the favourites for the competition, yes it is. Monchengladbach were the weakest but still come from the best league in Europe right now.

Not as if they were in a group with teams from joke leagues like PSV and Moscow.

Best league in Europe?

They're three points above relegation as well. Poor team.

Not sure us being shiiiiiit in the CL has any relevance. It's not respectable to finish bottom of the group with no wins.

It is for Celtic.

What's their budget compared to the others in the group? They were expected to finish bottom and did, but they certainly didn't disgrace themselves at all.

Rodgers is doing well, just admit it.

He's breaking records for unbeaten starts to a domestic season in Scotland. People can bang on about how easy the league, but records are records.

Were you really expecting them to get any points against Man City or Barcelona?

However you rate the Bundesliga or not, it's miles more competitive than the Scottish league. The fact that Dortmund finished above Madrid in their group and are yet only 4th (?) in their league is testament to its quality.

Only two points was a bit unfair too, all their games were close bar the game in the Nou camp. Their performance this year certainly exceeded previous years where they rarely even qualify, that's for sure.

You'll never convince me that bottom without a win is respectable. Not having it.

He's doing great domestically, though. Never said otherwise.

Scraping through an awful Europa League group and not even a top 4 English side

Pumped 4-0 by Chelsea too. Ooft!

Dortmund being where they are is more to do with their injury issues than the strength of the league. Monchengladbach aren't three above the relegation zone because the league is amazing, it's because they're shiiiiiiiit this season.

Yeah but you don't see me sitting here crowing about us being mediocre. I'm not Rob.

posted on 24/12/16

Instead you just put up with mediocrity, spending hundreds of millions on useless players that can't even get you into the top 4. Playing awful football that's as slow and boring to watch as it was under LVG.

Agree to disagree then. I expect most premier league teams near the relegation zone could easily beat Celtic too, such is the gap in terms of quality between the leagues nowadays. I think Celtic fans were pretty pleased with how they performed though, if not the eventual points tally.

Obviously don't watch us play then.

Fair enough, Neo.

Imagine having Mourinho as your manager.. how depressing must that be knowing he's lost the plot and sooner or later will slag all his players and lose the dressing room.

All while playing turgid, awful, boring football and continually losing to your rivals.

After being bumped by every club under the sun when butting their players.. £90m on Pogba

Celtic fans lashing out for not praising Rodgers finishing bottom without a win. They're buying into the cult of Brendan hook, line and sinker just like the scousers did.

Man Utd fans accepting mediocrity and failure.

Seems you've given up

Accepting it in what way?

I agree with dazz personally.

Rodgers simply has a pass mark atm. Which is to win the league over there, which he will. Yes they had a challenging group in the champions league but as dazz said no wins and bottom isn't great.

Next season they need to kick on in Europe a bit.
