Yes but Jose moaned we had the easy schedule until it was proven wrong then he said that Chelsea had the easy schedule. Nowhere near as good as Fergie at the mind games.

To be honest you've got no right to complain. Mostly up till now you have been playing one game a week unlike others. It's not like the christmas schedule has just changed its always been like this. Just suck it up and get on with it.

CL teams deal with it all the time

Tough schedule, true about CL teams playing three games in six days, but never with a gap of 38 hours between two of them.

A recovery period in such time is virtually impossible and there's sport science research that has proof for it.

Strongest available teams for Stoke and City you'd imagine but we are going to have to make a lot of changes for Sunderland involving players on the fringe of the squad. Expect starts for Lucas, Moreno, TAA and appearances for Grujic, Ojo, Stewart.

Good to have Sturridge and Can back at least... fingers crossed maybe even a sub appearance for Coutinho against Sunderland but we'll see on that one.

Pretty sure CL teams never play Sunday-Tuesday, or Monday-Wednesday, so no actually, they don't deal with it all the time.

Just one game a week, no bother for Couts, Studge, Firms etc.

The point is Christmas fixtures have always been like this Liverpool may feel hard done by but chances are a team had to deal with it last year just as the as teams will have to deal with it next year. If your squad can't cope with the demands look at your team's management rather than complaining you are being hard done by when you ain't.

No team should have to deal with it any year, that's the point.

It's totally unnecessary.

Who you support is irrelevant, or should be, but sadly most football fans can't look past club bias.

As soon as teams chased more Sky cash it was going to happen.

As followers of football you have two choices. Accept or follow lower league football where this doesn't follow the Sky TV game must net merry go round.

I have a feeling we will lose points in these games. Bournemouth and West Ham flashbacks kicking in...
Hope I am wrong, but there is no telling with us, Klopp or no.

We have weeks of pointless international breaks for no reason and then at Christmas fill up the scheduled lol

A few years back Spurs played a Europa game in Portugal on a Thursday (KO late there) and had to play Chelsea on the Saturdy at 12:00 - Only 1 day rest. Supposed to be Thurs/Sun but as SKY run football now nowt we can do,

I assume GB that you are not old enough to remember Easter fixtures on Friday, Saturday and Monday (for everyone) and sometimes Xmas day AND boxing day. Footballers are just so pampered today, would they play with just jumpers for goalposts ?

I don't see why a fan can't point out this ridiculousness without rival fans desperate to give the stereotypical criticism coming to moan about it. The article is accepting of the situation, not complaining and yes, it's a joke the way they set up the fixtures every year. There is enough room to manoeuvre the fixtures so they are fairer and not just around Christmas time alone.

Mamba...this forum is all about rivals point scoring, its impossible to create an article and have a proper football discussion. people like arouna etc just ruin it with infantile comments whilst ignoring the points of the articles.

Its very much my dad is bigger than your dad stuff.

The games are more than winnable but it doesn't always work out that way, City can be beat as we can.
I'm a little concerned that every b@stard around us keeps winning. Think January could be the month were we drop out of the title race or really make a statement. With Utzzzzz and Chelsea to play and two semi final games, no Mane and whatever else gets thrown at us we need to stay focused, fit, need luck and a few other things

You silly GB. No points scored, just offered up sensible options for football fans and the reason behind silly KO times.
