bent??????

I can see him going, they'll probably double his wages - and he strikes me as being a particularly mercinary individual.

Move on.

You lot don't half talk some crap, £8m wouldn't even buy Ince's right foot. Keep!

Baz, he's settled in Detbyshire with his Mrs and little girl, but if Newcastle had an offer accepted by Derby He'd be a fool not to go, bigger club, better fans, bigger crowds and more likely to be playing in the prem next season.

Agree Griff, money talks and I wouldn't blame him either. Marco my comments have nothing to do with the fee or my wanting (or not) him to go .

As I said it's down to the £££ and what they offer him...

Even if Newcastle offered the same wages I'd still move to better myself

Depends on what his Dad says....

I deffo sell and buy a Commons type. Someone who thinks of setting up rather than just shooting. You might wet yourselves over the goals he's scored but he's failed to set up many many more and is due to hit the skids again after his decent spell.

One thing Ince isn't is consistent.

posted on 11/1/17

Sounds like you'd drive him up there yourself, Iwas ?

posted on 11/1/17

I would and bring one of theirs back.

One thing Ince is is consistent. He has scored goals at an incredible rate (for a player in his position) throughout his career, better than most centre-forwards.

If we can trade him in for better then fine, but without Ince this season we would have been right down there with Forest and maybe even below.

I wouldn't even contemplate it right now. If he wanted to go I'd sit him down and say see where we are at the end of the season and if you still want to go then fine

We wont get a replacement, with the same goals output, this window and would probably drop off the pace in mid table

Who would be an example of this type of player in the current market?

Ince has now learned how to harness his undeniable talent. £8M is derisory in today's market for a player of his calibre. Boro paid more than that for donkey Rhodes. We would want more than double what the mags are offering. To lose Ince at this stage would be writing off our season.

When we let a player go, for whatever reason, in the calculations about skills lost and replacement potential, we sometimes overlook team cohesion/continuity stuff. Even Messi scores more because he knows his team.
The cost of replacing a player who fits the team is not just financial.

...see? Cat's not just lace doilies and cussing like a drunken pirate, she knows her onions!

I only wish we saw more of this kind of stuff from the likes of Peeder; more insight, less incite.

No, he is playing very well for Derby now that SMc has returned. It would be madness to let him go whatever and especially for such a paltry sum.

I don't know but we need an unselfish player.

I'd like Matt Richie as a swap deal with Newcastle. He will provide what is needed to get Newcastle over the line. Unless he's injured, I haven't checked.

posted on 12/1/17

He's not injured but they're not going to swap their best player for Ince.

Whats the point in that from their perspective and there's no chance he would come here.

posted on 12/1/17

I don't expect he will come here. I just have a different opinion of Ince than most. Enjoy him while he lasts.
