There is no chance Africa wins. The players you mentioned for africa were all fantastic but you couldn't name many more.

The european list you could add another 10-20 names to. People like RvN, Rooney, Zola etc.

Are we weighing both sides by the pound?

The skills , pace and power of Weah , Drogba , Eto'o and Yeboah , the technical genius of Madjer , Okocha , Abedi Pele and Amokashi and the absolute goal scoring prowess of Milla and Yekini would just give them a slight edge over their european counterparts imo ...

absolute rubbish

Yekini was a donkey who had one good season in portugals top flight, Okocha never scored enough... Milla was cr@p outside Africa or the French 2nd tier... Amokachi? really?

Weah, Drogba, Etoo were world class... no question... but against the list of European names to say Africa was better is laughable

No, but if you look at the list of Arfrican players you'd probbaly put Drogba, Eto'o and Abidal Pele at the top of it.

The European list you could argue most of them would come above those three in a best player competition and you could also add more to the list who would at least be comparable.

Therefore Europe wins (for me).

One of the most stupid comments I have ever read on this site.

OP, your article is stupid because you do not explain by what criteria you have arrived at your decision. If you had said players with more natural ability / talent I would say Africa would win hands down.

As an attacking force, there is no debate, Europe wins with ease. I could add another 20 players to that European list you have not even included.

Sharticle of the day

There are probably street footballers with better skills than Jay Jay Okotcha, despite him being brilliant to watch, so if 'skills' is the criteria it's a strange one. If it's actual attacking football ability then the Europeans are much much better, he played for Bolton and you're comparing him to Zidane.

really?

Outside his spell with Shooting Stars in Abidan, Nigeria.... he scored little or no goals anywhere in club football bar his spell at Vitoria Setubal in Portugal and a short spell late in his career in Zurich

His spell there included one season in the top flight where he scored goals and his career best season in the second

He wasn't physically a donkey obv... but he does not belong anywhere near a list compared to the European names mentioned

In the 94 world cup he looked cumbersome... all the hype about the Nigerian team was around him before the tournament (mainly lead by John Fashanu)

Amokachi was the star of that team

Even by your standards this is a shambles of an article.

Africa has produced some highly skilled and entertaining players but to say Africa has had better attackers than Europe in the last 20 years is laughable.

Figo, Zidane, Cristiano Ronaldo. Africa has never had a player better than those 3 imo

Europe has a list of attackers that rival South America. Yet the op thinks Africa shades it.

Genuinely one of the worst articles I've ever seen.

No worse a suggestion than Africa having better attackers than Europe, to be fair.

Baggio didn't even make his list so I'm not surprised he forgot to actually include good African players.
