Quite low for a player with, what, 10 minutes game time to his name all season?
If anything we are ripping them off.
Personally I'd have gambled on loaning him to Everton if it's true they wanted him on loan. He obviously did absolutely nothing to impress Jose though judging by the little time he got on the pitch.
Let's face it, he'd been so bad for us and we've got better. Good luck to him.
Remember when you said you'd rather have him over Firmino?

I think at the time Liverpool wanted him over Firmino also to be fair
Looks at very best a £15m player to me.
Hope this deal gets done. He's miles behind our other forwards in terms of his on-field contributions, and there's no point us paying his wages when he's not even making the bench.
At this stage we'd be better off giving Harrop or Mitchell a game on the left if we really needed another option.
If this is true I hope that the club have/will insert either a sell on fee clause or a buy back clause just in case he flourishes there.
It's a shame as I expected better but at least it clears a path for our more committed youngsters who may want to seize their chance.

No I don't? Who said that?
We wont insert a buy back clause because he's never ever going to good enough for us.
We never saw a ounce of his supposed high potential in any PL match.
He's been a massive disappointment.
Firmino is a good player who puts in a good shift. He's no world beater though. Would I rather have him than Depay? Obviously. Would I love to have him at United? Not particularly.
Hope there is a sell on clause added to the fee.
He'll go to Lyon, do well and then someone will snap him up for a lot more than £14m.
Hope we have a sell on clause in there.
We rejected £13m and Mourinho said that was 'far from reasonable'
So why on earth is £14.7m being accepted?
He played quite well against Arsenal at OT last season. That's the nicest thing I can think to say about him.
Hope we have a sell on clause in there.
Cost us top 4 with his idiocy.

Maybe not but just in case he knuckles down, plays regularly and really well for Lyon and could be a player that we could use in future. I know it's unlikely but we should be striving to at least get this in if Lyon are to get him on the cheap.

£13m isn't unreasonable. It's just pretty poor business to accept the first offer you receive.
This sort of deal just sums up our diabolical approach to transfers at the moment.
Buy a player when his stock is highest - some work out, in which case we paid a fair price, others don't, in which case we got royally ripped off.
Meanwhile, a bargain at United is about as likely as a Fellaini statue.
Cost us top 4 with his idiocy.

He did no such thing. Typical BS Hafi comment.
The fact that you defend LVG till the cows come home and then blame everything on one fringe player - and a youngster to boot - just shows what an ignorant anti-football fan you are.
It is clear that you don't watch football. I just wish you wouldn't talk about it either.
I don't agree with all of this sell-on clause nonsense.
If we are happy to sell the player then we don't have the right to expect anything, should he then go and prove himself elsewhere for a team that are - unlike us - willing to give the the platform to excel.
If our hand was being forced by the player that we brought in as a youngster or through our academy, and there was significant interest in the player (which there doesn't appear to be for Depay), then maybe we have a right to ask argue for this type of clause, or a by-back.
Cuckoo land again. Great fee considering his performances and 400k a month wages freed up .
Not sure how many of the bigger clubs have sell on fees for players inserted into deals. They usually come up when unproven young players move from clubs like Sterling at qpr.
Depay was the worst player in the squad, his confidence is shot . Will not be wishing him all the best as had he put the required effort and attitude in he would have had more chances, blown out by van gaal long before mid season last year.
I'm indifferent to whether we have a sell on clause or not. They aren't that common for unwanted players at bigger clubs.
Would have been interesting to see hwo he'd have developed had he signed for us, he'd have got more game time for us I'd say.
United won't miss him, he's not really contributed.
