He does this sh!t when we are in winning positions, I just don't get it
It was a loose challenge but never a red. Think the ref has been influenced by his reputation
This ref is a can't who has it in for Xhaka. Twice now
If Vardy's was a red vs Stoke then so is that.
Suck it up, you won anyway.
NEVER a red card. Ref was influenced by the prior handbags between the two players. Shttte decision and almost cost us the game.
I don't blame Xhaka in this instance at all
His first red this season was absolutely ridiculous, but today was poor.
Not willing to accept he has a disciplinary problem though, he didn't even pick up a suspension for having too many yellows in the first half of the season.
watch Moss not give a free kick for a similar incident in his next game
How can you not blame Xhaka? He gave the ref a decision to make, simple. Some give yellow, some give red.
He hasn't cost us anything though, we won both matches he was sent off in
Xhaka has a problem with discipline, but he will come back stronger in the future. He will mature a lot after next summer, I feel.
Pathetic from Xhaka. Midfield is our biggest worry at the minute with Cazorla out, Coq just coming back and Elneny away - now we will probably have to do without Xhaka for 4 games.
If that is a red the studs to the face for our penalty has to be as well. He also didnt card them 2 times for blatant elbows to Mustafi's face. I think the second one may have broken his nose.

What a load of BS. You and all the other wannabe hipsters who thought we were signing the reincarnation of Xabi Alonso need to accept you were wrong and that we have signed a dud
Personally think it was a red all day long. Bad pass, awful tackle.
But it is his first season, it does take time to settle.
And Vieira was still getting sent off for idiot moments into his mid to late 20s....
How many games will Xhaka miss?

I held no strong opinions on him when he signed, as I didn't know him well enough. All I could be was hopeful.
If you can't see the potential from watching him play, however, I can't convince you of anything.
When is Elneny likely to be back?
4 games, makes Xhaka challenge even more ridiculous
That is his 9th red card it's not good enough really has to be more disciplined. It hasn't cost the team points but it can't keep happening. He should be a very relieved man this afternoon.
We're already very short in midfield. His stupidity will cost us. We have to hope nothing happens to Ramsey and Coq.
Reckless challenge but to write him off is a complete over reaction.
Whilst (like many others before him) he is adapting to the PL slower than anticipated, up until the challenge he was playing well.
If he can temper his misjudgment/rashness, I believe he has the technical ability to be a success.
I thought he was excellent today. He just made a loose pass, got annoyed with himself, tried to win the ball back and lost his head.
He is eager to impress, almost feels under pressure. Very good technical player who will come good
Aren't/weren't Xhaka and Ramsey your only available CMs?

Nope
Ironically, thinking of Burnley, I had a fiver on a red card at 5/1
