Wolves set to buy Helder Costa in club record deal

The fee is thought to be £13million - almost double the club record set when Ivan Cavaleiro joined for £7m last summer.

Sources suggest the 23-year-old will become one of the highest paid players in Wolves' history in the process.

The big-money deal is a huge statement from intent from Wolves and owners Fosun. The deal will take Fosun's spending since buying the club, on transfer fees alone, to £27m.

Its an excellent signing if it happens and if he continues his progression his market value will only increase

Producing a thread like this for a big cup tie is great but now the test to produce the same effort on a cold Tuesday night in Barnsley. Can you make it halfy?

Piece of cake to me

The match threads didn't start off legendary, they have evolved over the last 4 seasons into mind blowing expieriance that you guys get to enjoy today !

There's no need to thank me as you, the match thread fans, are the reason that I put the hours of research and development, so that you guys get the best possible entertainment on match days. This is exactly the reason why MT's are only posted on the day of a fixture. So that by the time it comes to MT day, you guys are salivating in anticipation at the new instalment !

Take a look at some of the other teams boards and you won't find the sensible and expertly crafted debate that you'll find on ours

Barnsley on a Tuesday night ? Piece of cake

Presumably two non league sides in the fifth round for the first time isn't an anomaly then

What a performance from my local club when I was a lad, Sutton United. I think their artificial pitch helps them a lot.

Would be delighted with Lincoln or Sutton next Wolfie, preferably at home.

posted on 29/1/17

With our dodgy home form, I'd rather we were drawn away. Seem to do better. Away at Sutton would do, as my son only lives a few miles from their ground.
