Big pitch suits us going forward but doesn't suit our press.

I don't think the result was unnacceptable last night, we played well and it happens. It was the away leg result that was unnacceptable.

facked ourselves over in the first leg, and dembele came out and said we underestimated them, which is unacceptable from all concerned.

not too many qualms from last nights display aside from our set piece situation. i.e. cannot defend them, and the ones we take are facking rubbish.

yeah I hear you edin, but they were a poor side, we shouldn't be conceding 2 goals at home to them, however lucky they both were

yeah set pieces are a worry, especially free kicks 10-15 yards outside the box, we always seem to give a free header. We have a quite a strong big team, but we have not got 1 big f header of the ball like a van dirk, matip etc

Agree with this, only it is starting to pisss me off the way we don't convert chances. Could quite easily have done what we needed to yesterday after going down to 10, and more.

The first leg was completely Poch's fault though.

I think people underrated how negative a manager Poch is, but even Mourinho wouldn't have fielded as negative a lineup as he did Gent away.

I thought Poch played a fairly strongish side against Gent in the first leg too, with Sissoko being the exception. Should have done better than a 1-0 defeat.

Plus we didn't have Vertonghen whose reappearance has made us immediately better.

why was it negative?

How many genuinely attacking minded players did we have in our team? 2, possibly 3.

Sissoko is defnsively minded, the midfield three certainly are. Ben Davies is one of the more defensively minded fullbacks in the league.

but rose was injured......

Lamela isn't fit so attacking options of any quality are limited.

Sissoko has been a disaster of a signing, and at £30m Poch probably feels he has to play him more than he should.

No doubt that the biggest failing for what's been wrong in moments like this and through the rest of this season has been him and our other flop signings.

Kanes own goals are always costly, Sunderland and Swansea were draws and last night a vital away goal. If I was Poch he would be on the half way line whenever we are defending a set piece from now on.

It feels like we only go backwards, baby.
Every part of me says go ahead.
I got my hopes up again, oh no... not again.
Feels like we only go backwards, darling.

Do you mean negative spiral or negative manager?

"One moan last night, I know the trains/roads were bad but I was working in Leicester and didn't finish until half 5"

I wouldn't moan mate - Ranieri would love to have the problem

the only person to blame is Alli.
Had he not been sent off i think you would have gone through, but his petulance cost you the tie.

What about MoPo?

He's got to get to grips with Wembley or next season could be a disaster

You are right, Rose was injured.

Poch should have realised this, and then compensated by accomodating a more attacking player in our team to compensate for the attacking prowess Rose brings which we miss.

A player like Eriksen, Son or Janssen were all available. No excuse to play such a negative team.
