Eck - well put, my friend
Spot on ! Years ago Inwas in the 3rd Eye Centre at lunchtime. There was a sports theme and in the corner was a TV on a loop showing 1967 EC Final. A few of us were watching it when we heard the voice behind us saying " seen it, know the end "....Big Gemmell ! Brilliant.

Eck met him on a few occassions at supporters do's and he was brand new with us pash heads, had an honest laugh with us and spent more time than most of the players
Great player and fabulous character.
My abiding memory of him is the Battle of The River Plate in 67. When the ref was trying to send Bertie off and the bold Bertie refused to budge it's fair to say there was a bit of a stramash going on. Tam took the opportunity to seek out the filthy bassa who had spat in his face and delivered him a swift boot in the hawmaws.

Curly - spot on, mate
It was no coincidence that, as fierce as their rivalry was on the park, those Celtic and Rangers players of that generation got on very well and would often socialise with each other
