The fee is an issue. In many people's eyes, and through what we've seen historically, being the most expensive player in the world equals best (or very very near to it). It puts him into the messi, Ronaldo echelons, when he's not good enough to belong there yet.
people will ignore that it the 90 m, may well be covered in shirt sales and all that marketing nonsense, but it doesn't help pogba, who's a good player with a great deal of potential, who in football terms is trying to live up to being the most expensive player in the world, when he's clearly not worth it (on the pitch).

Yeah, I agree with that. It's kind of what I'm saying. He's going to struggle to shake the tag off, and probably never will.
But all he can do is go about his business, training hard and giving all he can on the field.
That is *never* likely to be £90m worth of footballer. But we knew that when he signed.

Next season I reckon Pogba along with Mkhitaryan will go to another lever where there will be goals/assists galore from both.

City don't have easily the best squad. Have you seen their defenders, keepers and centre mids?

Their keepers are poor. Full backs are ageing. Stones is still a rough diamond to put it mildly, Otamendi is dodgy and Kompany may as well retire at this stage. Their midfield is pretty average too since Gundogan died.
