Yes, I remember that game! Classic derby encounter: had everything!
I'm sure we did the double over you that season? That's when we were a decent club! (Happy memories, lol)
And yeah, fair play to Dublin: Savage deserved to be slapped in the face: can't stand the bloke!

It was lively....
I guess it was a double year for Blues as Enkleman was in goal and howler at St Andrews must have been other game?

Poor Peter. Taylor said after the match "whatever he does, they'll always remember him for that moment". Cruel but honest.
Yep true mcp
I have been a villa fan for years and although we have hit hard times I still look back and there are many more good times than bad. And there have been bad
Will never forget win at Everton in 2008 as my favourite game of all time. Made Barca PSG look ordinary

I remember going to Villa Park to watch Villa play Barcelona either back in the late 70s or early 80s.
I only went because I wanted to see the late great Johan Cruyff in action. I think it was a UEFA cup game. Barca won 2-0 and Cruyff was unstoppable - even Alun Evans and Ken MacNaught couldn't handle him!
Great game though. And a 50,000 gate too. Terrific atmosphere especially from the old Holte End!
