A very lenient performance last night ,MAN Utd were lucky that they didn't have more players sent off !

He let his emotions get the better of him for the Herrera red. Proven by the fact he let so many fouls go uncarded for the rest of the game.

Absolute disgrace the way our players were hacking Hazard. I'm a lover of beautiful football. Absolute shambles to assemble a team as expensive as ours to hack players. As stated, he was actually lenient after that red.

The stamp should result in a 5 match ban

He's given 3 penalties against us this season and now a red in his 4 games apparently.

He can get bent.

That Second Herrera challenge was a freekick no more. If you give yellow cards for those challenges the game is going to end up 8 aside.

We're now very close to the days that any foul is going to result in a card.

Herrera was stupid Shearer and Lampard were correct the yellows were justified.

Correct decision with Herrera, it was a quick accumulation of tackles that if he hadn't punished Herrera then it could have gone totally out of hand.

Herrera should have known better.

Thought Oliver had a reasonable game, it wasn't easy.

I'll remind you of that next time you get a man sent off.

The first was just about a yellow. The second was a foul, nothing more.

If Fernandinho had gone for those two challenges last night I'm sure you'd have a different view LQ.

Very soft but we can't do anything now. He's given it and we're out. We move on.

Come on Chelsea though. Make sure Arsenal, Spurs, City and Liverpool all finish potless.

Oliver made Jose have to change his tactics from the one he enjoyed with Inter Milan to the one he employed in Barcelona in that championsleaue winning season.

Pretty sure Lampard said it wasn't a sending off

posted on 14/3/17

Worst think he missed was Costa's constant theatrics trying to get Rojo sent off, not nice to see

Anyone claiming that those two yellows were correct is a moron.

Chelsea to win the double. United to win the league cup and Europa double.

Arsenal, Spurs, City and Liverpool all finish potless and go into hiding until August.

Would be nice.

He is one of the better refs.

The second yellow was soft, but Herrera went in with no intention of playing the ball seconds after the ref told them to stop hacking Hazard. If I were a United fan I would be more upset with Herrera than the ref.

Had it gone against Chelsea, there would have been national outcry of refs on our side as usual. And Chelsea fans would have been livid with the decision too.

Ah well it goes like that sometimes. We're out now. Got to focus on Europe and top 4 hunt. At least on semi final weekend we'll get to play when our rivals don't.

Their are none so blind, as those who do not want to see, and it's only the start !

Everywhere you go always take Lamela with you. Mopo's #1 fan. (U7905)

No - it's his game to break up play, niggle away etc.

It wasn't a booking. Anyone with half a brain knows that.

The referee was influenced by a frustrated crowd who had watched their team be controlled well by United up to that point.

Lets be honest - Herrera should have been sent off for his reaction to his yellow.
That was proably the catalyst to Oliver showing him a red for his next foul - a bit weak from the ref really.

Rojo and Valencia clearly should have followed Herrera as well.

Poor game from Oliver overall - but to be fair he is the best ref in this country (says more about the rest tbh)

What utter nonsense.

If you start booking players for dissent like that you'll do well to finish a game.

That sort of directive needs to be communicated in advance, not enforced against one player in the middle of a game.

I'm loving all the Arsenal, City and Spurs fans reactions. They seem happy we're out. They won't be when Chelsea sort two of them out at Wembley. They will all disappear down the rabbit hole as per.

It was. At the beginning of the season it was enforced. As with most things refs slack off and leave it to the FA...
