"They choose to support a particular team based on success"

What if you choose to support a side, but aren't from that area, but they are not successful... are you still plastic?

One of my oldest friends supported and still supports Norwich, even though most kids at school supported United/City, some of the other big sides obviously, some Bolton/Stockport/Oldham even.

Norwich are shiiiite so he's not a glory supporter/plastic is he?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No there are exceptions because it's about picking a team because they're good and he didn't so fair play to him 👍

A plastic fan is usually used for describing a Chelsea Football Club fan."

Google result for "What is a plastic football fan?"

A plastic fan is one whose allegiance to a team is not determined by geography or family ties. He or she is a glory hunter."

So how do you argue that then? Face it you're a plastic!
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Google it?!

I'm originally from a town about 14 miles from Liverpool with no recognisable football team. Should I just not have supported a football team, or is it acceptable that I support Liverpool? I'm interested to know what the parameters are in the wonderful world of Arro.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah of course it's acceptable for you to support Liverpool, it's your city. I have equal respect for proper Liverpool fans as I do Leicester.

What if Norwich get taken over and climb up the league and win the PL, will he become a plastic then?

Or do they have to remain shiiite forever to avoid being labelled as a plastic?

No because he supported them when they were shiitt. Same as plastic Leicester fans, we have them now too and I feel the same about them.

So a United fan from London is okay, if he started supporting them when Liverpool were top dogs in the 80's then?

Then fair enough I don't class you as a plastic then if you have family ties.

Leicester players still aren't rats though, it was still CR being shiitt this season and that's a fact! He changed our style of play, he changed s winning formula and got sacked because it didn't suit our players, they were shiitt and it was his fault. Last season he left things as they were and let them players carry on doing what they do best, and that's playing on the front foot and attacking.

This was Pearson's mistake too. You may recall that we started the season well but then after six games we went defensive and ended up bottom until we went on the attack again in the final nine games.

No it's not because being from London there must be a club almost within walking distance there's that many so they should support them.

To be fair to Arro, it was 100% the right decision to sack CR and he does only have himself to blame.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Reality is if he'd not changed the way we play he'd still have a job.

A plastic fan IMO is someone who changes club when someone, like a manager, moves to said club.

I agree. It's totally fine though if a fan still supports his own club but decides to follow the club that that manager, who he really admires and looks up, now manages as a second team

If you follow clubs that are managed by the man you really admire and look up to shouldn't United be your 4th team?

posted on 28/3/17

No because I don't waste my time following clubs he's left. I won't give a furrrk about man Utd if mourinho leaves them either. The shiiitty baaastards can go furrrk themselves for all I care if that happens.
