Finishing above you is no consolation if Chelsea cannot be caught. It means nothing, a hollow victory when the title has been a chance.

If it is Chelsea's title, then the priority is then finishing 2nd or 3rd. It does not matter which, it really did not last season after the title went either. No qualifier to play

The only way I would be desperate to finish above you is if we were 1st & 2nd, 3rd & 4th, or 4th and 5th - they have tangible outcomes.

Don't get me wrong, given a choice I would finish above you, but Arsenal do not define Spurs these days. We have set our sights higher over the last couple of seasons, and have been the only club keeping the Champions honest.

It will be nice if we beat you soon and help put you in to the Europa though

Arsenal fans got the cheek to say our priority is finishing above them when last season they celebrated coming above us on the last day like they just won the title the deluded f*** mugs!!!! Arsenal fans could only dream and wish their club was heading in the direction Spurs are heading.

I think that most of the sensible Arsenal fans (and yes there are quite a few of them) realise that Pochettino is creating something special at Spurs and they are quite rightly concerned.
The general consensus has been that over the last 10-15 years Arsenal have without doubt been one of the best teams to watch in the PL.

However, over the last 2-3 seasons the fan base has become exceedingly anxious about Arsenal's apparent inability to move up to the next level, which is what one would expect from a club of their stature.

The dilemma is do you keep Wenger or get a new broom in?

With Wenger you have a very successful and steady manager, who the fans love but think it is time he moved up or out. The thing with Wenger staying is that Arsenal fans know roughly what to expect season in season out, which has meant CL qualification for the past 20 years.

With a new broom, you can expect either a 2-3 year transitional period whilst the new manager imprints his own style & philosophy on to the team and club.Which could mean mid table positions until the transition is complete.

Or you can experience a Conte like effect, with instant success

Damned if you do & damned if you don't!

They gotta get the power shift off their chests, let them have their moment and get it out of their system cause it ain't going back to Woolwich anytime soon if at all.

Sorry should have added another option with the possibility of Wenger leaving...................................a complete melt down and a new manager being sacked by Christmas

Honestly couldn't care less finishing above the club that is being tortured season after season
It's hilarious that you still don't know whether to twist or stick..and that even if you did you wouldn't have a say in it anyway.
You are treated with utter contempt by your owners.

I don't care about what Spurs are doing, but at least they're trying to improve and have a forward thinking manager. Whereas Arsenal only care about top 4, I can envisage scenes of us scraping in ahead of Liverpool on the last day, Wenger, the board and most of the players will be thinking "job done", then cracking out the champagne behind the scenes. That's the mentality this club has.
At the moment I'd go as far as saying Spurs are much more likely to win the title in the next 5 years than we are. Obviously a lot of fellow gooners will laugh at me for saying that but it's true imo.

yeah have too say it, Spurs are well setup for the future and I'm not putting it past them to win the title this season if Chelskivich slip up in anyway.

Another few additions to Spurs team and they are really a formidable force.

Us on the other hand, well the less said the better.

posted on 10/4/17

I would go as far to say that if the title has gone, I would happily sacrifice 2nd to Arsenal again if it meant Wenger would get a new contract just for the joy it brings everyone

Yes to Arsene getting a new contract. A few more years of laughter won't hurt.

Spurs are an absolute joke club...and most of their fans are deluded.
