Good to see you snakes losing
Vardy off, protecting him now. A bit of damage limitation
just goes to show what a decent midfielder is worth
Benalouane who has looked able to cover in the last few games now looks at best a championship player.

can all move on if we are to see our self's as a top ten side.
serious recruitment needed for next season.
To be honest I think even with N'didi and Morgan on the pitch we would have struggled at Goodison but yeah strength in depth is really lacking
Harsh on Benny, hard game for everyone today with the changes and change in style, despite being written off by COE Everton are a top side.
Benny has had a poor game, it's not wrong to say that. Amartey has reminded us all of how garbage he is and Slimani took his goal well but his all round play has disappointed
Everton are a very good side but we have gifted them two goals. We just have no real quality in depth for when we need to rotate the squad. Let's hope we can move on some of the poorer players and recruit better targets
everton are woeful in defence bad as us today,,
The full team would have finished this by half time
and defended comfortably

Completely disagree. They are phenomenal going forward and even with N'didi I think we would struggle to keep them out. We wouldn't have conceded 4 goals but there's no way we would have finished them off at their place by half time!
im looking at they would probably only have 2 goals
our defending would have been better and we would probably have got a third as they come looking for their third
at worst a draw

Amartey is a footballing car crash

Andy King passing to Amartey is a footballing train crash
So unlucky on Ulloa, making the space for himself twice now to get the header on target.

and thats why the other strikers are ahead of him,
this is what hes done this season when we have seen him,
does everything right but where he sends the ball.
Well, we've been worse this season but there were defensive mistakes and they were punished. The biggest worry to me was Benalouane, who will start against Atletico but had degrees of blame in all four goals today.
I thought Musa looked more capable today though. Perhaps he just enjoys Goodison Park.
The good news is that Atletico are phenomenal at set pieces
That is a concern. I never feel we're particularly comfortable defending set pieces at the best of times.
I'm going to drive over to Bennys house and take a dump through his letterbox right on the eve of the CL game. It will have a note attached which says 'track your runner'
No injuries, no suspensions and more pitch time for Chilwell, Gray and Slimani. Not the end of the world. Bring on AM!
I don't think we learnt anything today we didn't already know.
We definitely have to play a high pressing high tempo game where everyone knows there role to a tee, defending from the front and Oki is key to that, he allows Vardy to play at his devastating best which allows the midfield and defense to organise themselves.
Peripheral players are that for a reason and it seems most will stay that way
I think you're too harsh on Slimani generally, TB. He is what he is, took his goal very well today and the match at the weekend showed that he's a dangerous presence in the box - a great option to have.
That said, it has to be Okazaki starting in the big games and I'm glad he was rested today; he will be needed in Madrid.
I know DM but it does get COE going.
It's been very difficult for any of the new players this season with the way we've played, Slimani is one of the few who has done his job when called upon.
Saying that though, we're as far as he's likely to progress, I don't think we'll be fighting off bids from the big Clubs for him.
We massively missed Ndidi yesterday and they completely over ran our midfield, that's why we lost. The defending was a worry but I think with both fullbacks and Ndidi we're a lot more solid.
It just highlights how desperately we need the five players to give ourselves better options.
As for Benny, I think we saw what Mersey and Dunge had been fearing but let's hope he got them all out of his system yesterday. No doubt they'll go through that with him, work on those issues and become a better player.
defencively poor but not surprise against a very good Everrton despite what CoE said of them pre match.
Benny get rightly some stick but defending balls into the six yard box when you know your keepers staying at home is hard. apart from the work class save i felt he had a poor game. Instead of pushing King he should get off his line and collect the ball. It could not of been any worse than conceeding anyway.
I thought Slim was man of the match first half and did not get any service second half Ulloa did what Ulloa does get into position and does not score thats why he's forth choise. Musa looked better and more relaxed.
What Yesterday shows without a Kante or Ndidi our pressing game does not work against a good footballing team like Everton.
The effects for Wednesday are minimal and lets home Wes makes it back in ...get it Back in !
oh well
Home game for me yesterday so I grabbed a few beers with the family.
That is the only reason it's delayed me posting.
My post is predictable. Basically it's to highlight the positional incompetence and poor decision making of Amartey and Benny.
Shocking. Both of them. Not helped by an over run midfield but watching your man waltz passed you from set pieces repeatedly is unacceptable.
I really hope Simpson, N'didi and Fuchs are fit and ready for Wednesday. I wish Morgan was as well!
Onwards.
