We have to break the cycle of manager dependency though.

Managers come and go whether they're good or Nigel Pearson. What are we trying to build and how can we ensure that continues as and when managers and players come and go?

How can the Academy sync with the first team, are their playing styles and coaching compatible? What type of players are we looking to bring in and how do they fit into the long term aims of the club? How do we support local talent and local coaches? How do we keep an ear to the ground for the latest footballing developments?

Give GR time for sure but we need to try and build a structure that is bigger than a manager, else we'll carry on this managerial merry go round and be left picking up the pieces of what the last manager was trying to do out of the wreckage of the one before with the new one we've just got.

The manager is part of a bigger picture, I think part of the problem is we've just given them a blank canvass, some overpriced paint and demanded a masterpiece in quick time.

Just the kind of finish Fulchester Rovers didn't want

Derby should re-brand themselves as Melchester Rovers.

Sounds catchy Aries.

How's life at Hoof Ball Albion? Seems like you guys learned from the footballing lesson we gave you earlier on in the season.

Julian De Sart w/e happened to him

Poor attempt, 2 Wellies.
Glad you enjoyed your Cup Final, though.

Like I've said Backo. Keogh will take some replacing football wise but him and Shackell are trouble and need moving out of the club. Same goes for Bryson and Russell but Rowett had a big call in getting rid and upsetting the chairman. Today's performance was worse than any under McClaren so when are we going to stop blaming the managers and give the players some blame.

Love to meet Zkeogh face to face and tell what I think

Cool Iwas, was only taking the Micheal.

Cheers Igor

If Borough go down I reckon we could have got him, don't think he's a Rowett player though, although could be useful if we play direct and to the wings.

He was mate, pity he isn't a role model at the club and a proper captain

View...it amazes me. Keogh is far and away our best centre back yet he gets mindless slating. Pearce never gets a slating yet hes miles behind Keogh in every way. Id love people to tell me a better centre back for money we can afford. Ive seen Flint and Roberts names mentioned but Flint is bambi on ice. Roberts ive not seen alot of but he conceded 3 goals in last 15 mins last night at Wigan.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
All 4 goals came from Brentford attacking the channel that our weak left side of Olsson & Pearce failed to defend. Yet Keogh takes the flak. Derby fan logic.

So that wasn't Keogh (and Pearce) that stood there as the first was poked in, it wasn't Keogh who dived in for the 3rd and it wasn't Keogh who was left standing for the 4th?

Which side/channel did Brentford attack time and time again?
Not the Baird/Keogh channel that's for sure.

Not laying it solely at his door but he wasn't blameless as your post suggested

Didn't suggest he's blameless at all.
He's sure not the primary culprit that some would have you believe.

For all the goals i see quite a few Derby players either pointing or ball watching while Brentford players move around a bit.

Blaming Keogh for all the goals isn't a great deal better than blaming Carson for all of the goals. The last man shouldn't carry the can for the mistakes of those ahead of him. The opposition are allowed to work the ball too easily into dangerous positions. Keogh was slipped far too easily for the fourth but generally there isn't enough pressure put on the player in possession to make it difficult for him. The midfield, the wide players and Olsson are all guilty of standing off their men too much.

The amount of space for Brentford to play in without pressure was worrying. Russell's part in a couple is not good...Hughes stands like a statue ball watching on another....there are many players you can point fingers at. I would not be sorry to see our entire midfield sold if we could. Olsson can go when Forsyth's back. Pearce can go...Bent can go...Russell can go. Ill stop there for now.

Has Bent got one more year or does his contract run out in the summer with Baird?

Derby have an option on Baird Tommo. Not sure on Bent.
