If as is expected Arsenal are acutely short of Centre Backs and could be starting the game with a couple of rookies there, I think that it would be a better idea to unleash the beast Costa on them to bully them and hopefully tear them a new rsole. Bullying is cruel but sometimes necessary to get the job done.

Would prefer Solanke given a chance.

Great to see Bats has had as cameo at the end of what must've been a very frustrating time this term.

Still difficult to say whether Conte rates him or not, we've seen incidents where he could've & should've been used this term and was left out, - he's quick & skilful...just needs a chance

I'd be very tempted to as well if I was manager. Bats is clearly the form striker with 4 goals in his last 3 appearances and that's only appearances not even full games.

In the last few games he showed enough evidence for a start. Conte probably goes with Costa and Bats as sub.

he was utterly terrible when he came on agains West brom aoart form his goal

Say what you want but he's got 5 goals in under 300 minutes of Premier League football for us.

Played well and got a further 4 goals in the early stages of the cup as well.

MTC has some weird irrational hate for Batshuayi, ignore. Done well recently and showed that ( along with a few other players), probably deserved more gametime earlier in the season. Defo wanna see more of him next

Mons our problem is we’ll probably never know (not at Chelsea) how much of that is crapness and how much of that is ‘ring-rust’.

hes a likeable character sure
but the reality is, he will be sold or loaned never to be seen again
if he was good enough Conte would have trusted in him more ( take moses as an example )

we will sign another main striker and he will be gone i am all for him proving me wrong but from what i have seen hes not better than Remy. Ba pizarro etc as aslo ran backup strikers.

I also guarantee that there will be uproar if we go into next season with him as our main man up top.

Batman has come in and done a good job in scoring goals. His confidence is probably sky-high, so he should be rewarded with a start. Plus the fact that Costa has been poor for quite a while now.

We have shown we can win games without Costa in 2017. If Costa stays we should utilise Batman more, and if Costa leaves we should give Batman the chance to be first choice. If he ends up being terrible, break the bank in January. Maybe we can save £70-100m on a striker for other areas in the team.

Bats is obviously talented, but needs game time to improve. It's a confidence thing with him. Still It's a bit risky to start him ahead of Costa who atm is a level above him.

If he stays next season he will hopefully gain more game time, now that we'll have to contend with extra fixtures.

Tough call really....head says Costa...but he's been average of late...& i'm very much one for playing form players
