From what I can see, all the links seem to be referencing a single report from AS who are not exactly a reliable source.

I reckon it's probably BS unless Klopp really has zero confidence in Mig. If he just wants Mig gone then Casillas to help bring on Karius makes a bit of sense.

What makes more sense however is not to take a chance on a 36 year old keeper who's never played in our league and let the actual coaches focus on improving Karius.

Mignolet is now a decent goalkeeper and this is not an area that we need to urgently address. Unless, as someone mentioned, it would be mainly for the experience to pass on. Then it might make a little bit of sense.

May just be replacing Manninger with Karius getting a loan or sommat. I trust the manager

In fairness to Mignolet he's had a very good season imo.

Liverpool, you finally get CL football and the first thing you do is get an over the hill goalkeeper?

Nah, we bought Manniger last year without the lure of euro football

I'm amazed how many experts there are on Casillas' form for Porto.

Personally I'd prefer us not to sign him because it's a bit short-term in thinking but it's not an outrageous thought.

Petr Cech is a year younger and nobody is screaming for Arsenal to ditch the old man.

Van der Sar played for Utd until he was 40!

All that matters is what he's capable of and I haven't watched enough of Porto to know that. I seriously doubt many people on here have.

I'm such an inverted reverse football hipster, I've never even heard of him.

Van see Star played to 40 cos he was still good.
There's a reason Cas is at Porto... but saying that, I think the real reason, is LFC have the potential to be in Champions League next year. Get a well known name in, maybe the rest will follow.
Well, that's how I see it.... I would like to believe he's going to be their new number one.
Cos that would be insane...

"The Interview" got Barry'd

If true he'd be there to replace Manninger and hopefully do some coaching instead of Achterberg

As I said earlier, I've not watched Porto this year so I have absolutely no clue whether that's true or not.

I read today that he broke his personal best in terms of clean sheets this year and that Porto have one of the lowest goals conceded per game numbers in Europe.

Ultimately though, if this is true (I'm still calling BS on it) then I'm betting our scouts have seen more of him than anyone on this board.

United had Valdes. Presumably to help De Gea along. He never played.

Theoretically speaking, as a replacement for Manninger, who never plays, Casillas could be of more help. We surely cant afford this kind of spending though and he would want a final pay cheque we would be stupid to pay. Not gonna happen.
