The introductory statement:

Welcome to the new wolves.co.uk

Today we have launched the brand new wolves.co.uk after seven months of development in partnership with Aqueduct.

As announced in November 2016 Wolves took the decision to exit the EFL collective digital agreement that has provided the Club website for over 17 years.

This new website will bring you the latest news and videos on a fully mobile-responsive and easily-navigable platform.

From the homepage you can navigate around the site from the menu button, go directly to the online tickets and retail site by clicking the buttons in the top right or see the latest content by scrolling down the page.

Within the navigation menu you’ll see “Trending Stories”. This is an exciting new feature that aggregates news and videos from the website as well as tweets from the Club and other accounts about a specific topic. This way, if you want to keep up to date with all of the transfer activity for this season just visit #2017Transfers. We’ll also include fan tweets in this feed from time to time so keep an eye out to see if you feature.

This is a long-term project and we are only at the start of the journey with further developments due to be released before the start of the season, including a new Live Matchday Centre providing fans who can’t attend matches with a much improved online matchday experience.

In a few weeks we’ll also be launching “Single Sign On” meaning when you sign in to wolves.co.uk you can leave the site to visit our tickets and retail sites and not have to log in again, creating a much more user-friendly experience when navigating around our digital platforms.

We will also be providing a replacement for the Wolves Player HD product, called WolvesTV which will be similar to the EFL’s iFollow.

Details of this will be announced shortly when we have finalised the details of the product with the EFL to ensure it meets the League’s broadcasting rules. This will include live matchday commentary, behind the scenes videos and live broadcasting to overseas fans, for the fixtures where this is permitted by league rules.

“We are really pleased to have worked closely with Aqueduct to develop a brand new website,” said Managing Director Laurie Dalrymple.

“It is a really exciting project with lots of further developments planned that will provide a much improved online experience for Wolves fans around the world.

“Our supporters have been at the heart of the project as we have organised workshops to gain feedback and guidance on the design and layout which has resulted in a website which we hope everyone will enjoy using.

“It is vitally important that we keep up to date with modern media and provide a high quality digital experience for our supporters to enjoy.

“I would also like to thank everyone involved from Aqueduct who have experience in designing many other top websites, but have also been open to all the feedback to ensure that the finished product is specifically geared to what we believe our supporters would like.

“And I would also like to thank the team here at Wolves for their work on the new website, in particular Head of Marketing Laura Gabbidon, who has led the project from the club’s perspective.

“All of the team have done a great job in helping to deliver what we believe to be an excellent new website, and we look forward to hearing the feedback from supporters.”

Aqueduct founder Rob Oubridge added: “It really has been an honour working with a club with the background and stature of Wolves.

“We are immensely proud of the new website and look forward to continuing to improve the site for fans over the coming years."

*Take a look around the site and please let us know your feedback at tv@wolves.co.uk. You’ll notice at the bottom of every page we’re displaying quotes from supporters, if you would like to appear at the bottom of the site complete the form below and provide us with a quote of what being a Wolves fan means to you.

Good stuff gem and pleased you are prepared to pay to watch the Wolves games. Let's hope plenty of the thousands of Wolves fans around the world will take out the same subscription.

Not quite sure what this paragraph means Gem:-

I hope it means we'll be able to watch matches live and not just listen to live commentary. I did watch a couple of live matches last season via Bein Sports over here.
But I'll gladly pay my dues, if I can watch our matches on a regular basis.

I think for legal streaming has to be in accordance with FL rules like Chelsea, Liverpool, Man u, etc.
I think I remember a figure of around £105 per year for the subscription which is not much more than double the subscription for Player and I'm sure it will be much better. If that figure is correct it will work out to around £2.20 per game + cup games. To watch every match, home and away, live, I reckon that's damn good value for money.

Will certainly pay the money for it rather than sift through what will be many dodgy streams.

Just hope it is a far better product than the wolves player.

If British voters keep getting their way then it is only a matter of time.

Hope it doesn't affect Halfy's match day threads.

Halfys matchday thread won't survive this.

I have already stated my objection to the EFL and await their response.

Nothing will ever compare to the enthralling match day thread experience !

Not quite sure how Wolves TV "replaces" Wolves Player.

Apart from the obvious that one is video and the other audio, TV is only available to overseas subscribers whilst Player was available to all. I fully understand why that would be, after all attendances would be decimated. On the other hand why could Wolves Player (preferably an improved version) not continue for home subscribers? As many will know I attend about 8 matches per season, which I think isn't too bad considering the 300 mile round trip. For other matches I would normally listen to Player as the only other source of live coverage, "local" radio coverage is only available to locals.

Now as good as Halfy's match day thread are it's not quite the same as hearing for yourself the dozens of goals being banged in by our forwards (if only ). I have access to Kodi but to be quite honest the reliability is p!ss poor and I rarely use it.

Match days, most of them at least, are never going to be the same.

Wulfrun I don't think you should be too hasty in your judgement. Probably be wise to wait and see what the club come up with. Clearly they have said that they will be catering for ex-pats with live TV coverage but have made no mention as to what they have in store for fans in the UK who, like yourself, are unable to attend every game. After all the promises of improved matchday experience for fans I would be astounded if they don't provide an audio commentary for you guys.

If the video of the shirt being launched into space is an example of the quality of Wolves TV, watching the games should be a real pleasure.

I wouldn't worry wulfrun, they won't let you guys miss out and you will get radio coverage of some form.

Am I right to assume wolves tv will have a similar set up to utd and arsenal tv with interviews and old matches etc?

posted on 16/6/17

quality bit of prodigy perhaps we could add this to the pre match track list to get the crowds jumping before games!

shirt looks decent too

website is an improvement on the old standard format one we shared with all the other clubs. works ok, and will be good to see if they increase fan content - video, audio, message boards? and the online ticket section worked better than the old one. managed to renew my car park season ticket online and in 2 minutes (with no admin fee).

All these peripheral things; website, strip, streaming games etc... are fine but the B-all and end-all is having a team that performs, wins and gets promoted. I've yet to see anything that gives me any more confidence that this season will be any better than last.

that's cos nobody has really started making signings yet?

I expect us to bring in at least half a dozen players again this summer. the key will be whether we spend big on a couple of quality goal scorers. I don't doubt the money is there and available, so we'll have to keep our fingers crossed that nunes/mendes/thelwell spot a couple more like costa and not gladon.

posted on 17/6/17

I'm sure Nuno will have a couple of players in mind he would like to bring in and thelwell and Mendes will have some identified too. As nice as it is to get new signings in before pre season the reality is that most transfers happen late July into August and I'm sure there will be plenty of comings and goings at Molineux this summer

And I'll be testing the new site by buying my car park season ticket too this week gb

redhill?

posted on 17/6/17

Used to go there but changed to Whitmore Hill. More convenient for me to go into town for a beer before the game and to get away after the game

posted on 17/6/17

I got used to redhill when I used to drive my dad in as it was close enough to drop him by the ground beforehand when he struggled to walk far. back in the 90s I just parked in the side streets behind the goalpost - grabbed some soul food from the dodgy Caribbean place and a pint or two of mild on the way to the south bank.
