Superb job.
Many congratulations to all involved

I reckon it shouldn't just be for the Sunderland game but should be given a permanent place at Pride Park. Got to say thanks to 666 for coming up with the potential designs and then Mrs Backo for producing it. Baz's imput needs a mention. It was a multi team effort.

'Neuroblastoma is an aggressive childhood cancer. At Neuroblastoma UK we save children’s lives, with your help.
We do this by funding crucial research which is carried out by scientific experts in cancer centres and universities all around the UK and it produces results – new treatments that save children’s lives and are kinder on their young bodies than chemotherapy and other
existing therapies.
Our work relies entirely on the generosity of voluntary donors – individuals, companies and trusts – to continually fund new research projects to produce new and better treatments in order to save more children’s lives.
We are staffed only by Trustees and volunteers, with no paid staff or offices, meaning that 95% of everything you donate goes directly into funding the best UK-led research.
Your support means we can fund more research and bring closer the day when neuroblastoma will be beaten.'

Guys, as a result of your fantastic efforts, I intend to make a donation to Neuroblastoma UK (see above)

Its a real team effort. 606 is a unique place. My Mrs has said to me tonight that she hopes it does not get "lost" at Sunderland and that it can have a place at Pride Park. Im not sure if it can...but i hope the banner will stay with us. Looking forward to having a picture with it in next couple of days. It should look very good.

Ive spoke with Lewis's Dad in last couple of days. He gave his blessing 100% to it. He has asked me to thank everyone...(i told him the site i was on)...and he will never forget this. The crowning glory will be it shown on the tele. Lewis's name alongside Bradley's. What better way to start our promotion season??? 2 young lads will never be forgotten.

A thoroughly fitting tribute. Top marks boys.
Bradley's story is incredibly upsetting, but at the same time, uplifting for what has been highlighted and recognised.
Much respect to Jermaine Defoe. I saw his press conference the other day. Very emotional.
I feel for the little lad and his family. At least he had some happy times in his short life.

Backo, that's made the hairs stand-up, seriously. Very proud to know you mate, a real driving force (along with 666) and Mrs Backo

Look forward to seeing it on the TV. I'm in Portugal for that one, regrettably.

Credit to Griff too

As mentioned please let me know what I owe you to be able to chip-in

If I may suggest all donations be made to Rainbows Hospice:

www.rainbows.co.uk/donate

I know that's not strictly for kids with cancer but it's local to our club. The big charities (Macmillan, Cancer Research, Marie Curie etc) all have CEO's on huge salaries, plus I've still not forgiven MacMillan for stealing the Ice Bucket Challange from MND to line their own pockets at the cost to that disease.

Anyhoo, we don't need anything for the banner, not money, kudos, or thanks, and so if you want to donate in memory then do so as your goodwill dictates to whichever charity you think appropriate. Bradley still has a fundraising page (bradleylowerysfight.org.uk) and www.lewismightyfund.org.uk proceeds go to Nottingham Hospitals Charity.

Thanks for the comprehensive information 666. I will contribute when I've thought about it for a bit. maybe some to each of Rainbows, Bradley and Lewis.

Selfless gesture.

Well done to all concerned

Well done to all of you who have organised the flag.

I've just donated to rainbows as 666 suggested. When I wrote my message mentioning Bradley Lowery it brought tears to my eyes, what a brave little boy and family. Also what a great man Jermain Defoe is, it shows most people are good when it comes down to it..

Was going through the articles on the Championship page and stumbled across this one - well done to all involved, it's things like this that make it 'the beautiful game'.

At certain times the sheer goodness of folks shines through and long may it continue. I agree about Jermain Defoe but many others too. Maybe he's very distantly related to Daniel. Have a look at what he wrote about cave dwellers at Harborough Rocks.

More likely that one of Daniel Defoe's relatives was a slave owner in the West Indies and gave all his slaves his own surname. They were such thoughtful people.
