There are so few world class players at lesser clubs now so you either have to pay a ridiculous fee for one of the brightest prospects or you have to settle for gambling on someone that you're not so sure about

I read about Higuain and an 88m bid from Chelsea, doubt Juve would sell him though.

Whatever stories are true (very few) I do think it’s been the biggest example of a lack of supply; and demand in the market for a long time.

CFC should keep Costa, or try for Benteke, Sturridge, or another PL striker.

Didn't like the idea of spending £65m on a 29 year old striker. Such a pity Llorente is injured, couldda got him for cheap. It has to be Benteke now, even he will command a fee in excess of £40m. Roll on new season.

I think/hope that if we really are having difficulty signing our "targets" (as the media would have you believe) we wouldn't have entertained the idea of letting Costa go, not in this windows at least (and we could have been now, desperately, bidding on every player and his dog) in fact us not doing so, just show the that the media doesn't know a sh!t
