Few other Brazilians chose other than their national team before. Think Deco is the most notable one.

Also, read somewhere that Scolari didn't call him up following their friendly match against Russia. But, judging by the Brazilian FA reaction on this, it seems that Costa just made up that excuse. Costa now is "persona non grata" in Brazil.

Plenty more - Pepe, Marcos Senna, Donato, Edu ... and lorry loads out there in lesser leagues - but Costa is different to the rest, imo.

Costa was in with a very clear shout of making the national side just before a World Cup on home soil. Most of the cases I know have been players who at the time didn't harbour great hopes of becoming Brazilian internationals.

Do you really want him at your club ? He seems to be more trouble than his worth. He is a fantastic player, but he could toxic to have around your team.

He was always monaning about the life in London, which I find it strange. Maybe not used to the crap weather, but other than that the city itself never stops.

Yeah. Not that I'd want to see him in white, but he's an odd type, and stranger things have happened at Madrid

It would be a fantastic laugh as far as Atlético's concerned, though.

Imagine the battles with Godin if Costa went to Real Madrid.

Obviously won't happen. But I agree it would be funny.

Maicon, Hulk, Wilner, Bernard, Paulinho and Ramires as well.

Chile and Colombia bottling it because it was Borezil in Borezil was the only reason such a poor team reached the semis.

I was right behind the Barca "ultras" tonight. Much better than being up in the sky. Messi's goals were better than on TV. It seems it is back to Messi having to deliver for Barca. Maybe he got comfortable with Neymar and Suarez being able to save the day. Albeit him providing the assists.

Suárez looks in awful shape on TV.

What shape is he, in real life?

He didn't play so well in the games I was at. Don't know about his shape. I was impressed with Semedo.

Last time I went to watch Chelsea in the Camp.Nou. They put us at the very top of the stadium, I needed binoculars to see and fricking the security fence netting made it more difficult to watch. The city itself though is one the best around Europe though

I heard Asensio won't be playing because he cut his leg shaving. Sounds like he really does want to become the Spanish Ronaldo.
