Spurs have first refusal on Gareth Bale until 2019. Anyone bid, if its accepted by RM and Spurs match it, RM must sell to Spurs.

----

You're probably joking, but I don't think that's how first residual deals work

It does but of course it doesn't mean Bale has to accept the contract we offer him and can therefore turn us down

Rubbish. Up to the player to decide which contract he wants to accept. Wouldn't want him back at a fraction of th price we sold him anyway.

I would welcome Bale back with open arms. Sadly, he's never coming back

We're not spending because we don't need to.

I'd disagree with this

Go on.......

We obviously need to as last season we never won nothing. That shows we are missing something be it a special player or a stronger squad depth

posted on 28/7/17

Tottenham will Bale in the team would give the rest of the teams the fear, he could be that special player that takes a very good team to a great team

He as an affinity with Spurs, I would think they would be his first choice if/when he comes back to England if they can offer anywhere close to the financial package United would.

Why not chronic?

I'd like ot see him back in the PL and at Spurs over united / city / Chelsea

Levy is being tight..... but we will sign players but late as Levy loves to leave it late.He lives for it.

Isn't Bale on 300k a week at Real?

Utd may be prepared to pay him that but I can't see us doing so. Plus he's been very injury prone in recent seasons.

Jesus Christ why the f*** would any Spurs fan not want Bale back ? Not that we have any chance of signing him but if Bale come back, I would be ecstatic. He would be the difference between Spurs being title challengers to actually winning it.

1. he went on strike, therefore burnt any bridges in my opinion. players that go on strike to move away from spurs have no business coming back to spurs. the shirt is worth more than anything and it was disrespectful to the club. I get why he did it, and that's fine, as hes not a spurs boy, but still, as far as I am concerned that's that. (same applies to modric).

2. how are we going to pay him? grains of sand?

3. for the amount he would cost, there are actually better / younger / and less injury prone options !

All this wishful thinking & 1st refusal is well and good by you are all forgetting the elephant in the room.

Levi will not pay anywhere near what RM would ask for Bale so 1st refusal or not, Bale's affinity or desire to rejoin Spurs, be it real or imagined, means nothing when the man with his hands on the purse strings makes Ebenezer Scrooge look like Roman Abramovich

we have made steady improvement under Levy / poch strategy so I don't see the need for mad spending.

just need to spend a bit smarter

Chronic, I couldn't give a f*** about him leaving Spurs the way he did. If it means my club win trophies which we seem incapable of doing then I'm all for it. Gareth Bale would be a massive statement of intent and would no doubt help us win trophies. That being said we have no chance of it happening but I find it astonishing how any Spurs fan would turn their nose up at bale

Putting all astronomical amounts of money we don't have to buy & pay him what bale would he be?

The one that left who was hitting best player in the world heights

Or

The over muscled, incredibly injury prone not had any great form last season player

I estimate Bale to be 100mill plus transfer fee plus 300k a week......

the other options would be most of the footballers in the world

that's because you are a throw your toys out the pram when you don't get your own way type of spurs fan, and have very little moral fibre in your support of the club
