Bergkamps second. Although both were amazing.
Bergkamp's against Newcastle is probably my favourite of the entire PL era.
Although I think the Di Canio effort might win it, I'd go for Bergkamps goal against Newcastle.
between Di Canios and Bergkamp vs Newcastle for me, was close to picking Di Canio that technique to hit it like that, had to go with Bergkamp though.

Got to be Rooney for me

Agreed. Was so good they edited it out as it would have won outright.
Bergkamp's is the most iconic and unique. For sheer technique? Bartletts is the most difficult.
I reckon more players could do what Bartlett did than Bergkamp. The technique and audacity was unreal, hence why I've not seen another like it. Barlett's was great and took real skill but you do see vollys like that now and then.
Easily Bergkamp's against Newcastle. I've yet to see that goal be recreated anywhere else or anytime else. Sublime bit of skill.
His other and Di Canio's are pretty special too.
Bartlett's and Izzet's are the types of top goals you see scored quite often throughout football. There must have been goals as good or better than these they could have chosen?
Technically, Bergkamp's wasn't difficult, I've seen similar to beat players on a Sunday tbh. The invention was pure genius though.
Bergkamp always said he didnt mean that goal v Newcastle and his goals v Leicester and Argentina were better

....................
One of my all time faves for pure skill alone was a Berba one for you guys against Charlton (I think).
It involved a flick around a player right on the touch line near the half way line.

Also ref should have given a foul for the push on the defender
Gerrard vs Middlesbrough.
Shut the poll.
Went for Yeboah first time out, went for Bergkamp v Newcastle on this one. Its just bliss
Doukara v Nottingham Forest. Would be in the poll if we were premier league
"Technically, Bergkamp's wasn't difficult"
You amaze me with the stupidity you come out with. Technically it's not that difficult which is why I've very rarely seen it pulled off, let alone leading up to a goal the way it did. It was technically brilliant.
Plenty of players score volleys in Sunday League too, doesn't mean that's any less difficult to do.

That was great. He scored some crackers for us.
By the way, how have they left out Henry's vs. Man United?

Kanu was the master of such lazy flicks.
Or maybe Asprilla
Who doesn't love a lazy flick?

Absolute class video of Asprilla here.
Mostly with Parma. I'd never seen some of these goals. The one where he knees and volleys is Yeboahesque. He's right footed
Young Asprilla and young Zola up front
Parma scouts on fire
