Unless the player hands in a request its going no where imo.

cant see them selling him their stance has been clear from the off and hes not seemingly interested in a move

Yes . as the media would like us to believe this is one of Conte's must have signings.

But unless the player hands in a transfer request and tells them he wants to go , the clubs hands are tied.

But then the media will then tell us the managers unhappy about the lack of signings.

Its fckn Blx

whether it's true or not the "all our eggs in one basket" scenario (at face value) does appear to have raised its ugly head again.

So people unhappy on 35 for a proven PL player in Drinkwater but would be ok with us spending 70 plus mill on a full back?

look Nickalopodis-bye bye costa

Its not the money that people are worried about, its the quality of player,

IF you are happy with Drinkwater then that's fine

but is he better than Matic ?
do you honestly think Drinwater is a good enough player ?
Like really Honestly ?

if so please explain why your standards have dropped ?

Mons,

I personally feel Matic wanted to go, he wanted to follow Mourinho, his performances over the last two seasons have been irratic.

What can the club do if the player wants to move ?

The same goes for the youth players who have left.

They wanted to move.

Standing in there way and having a unharmonious dressing room is the last thing the club and MANAGER want.

So hence the departures , its not fckn rocket science.

But then for the media to insist that its all about the club and not the manager is once again BLX.

Flash ,

My last post is also relevant to your view.

The club have not stood in the way of players to keep the dressing room harmonious , some thing which the manager insists on, and must feel confident of bringing players in.

I think this whole sorry saga is as simple as that tbf.

Yeah but drinkwater ?

This one's over now

Mons,

My views are based on the premise that the club put the financial strategy first and then after that the manager and footballing side must work with it.

This will come with risk , such as not bringing the players we ideally want, the knock on effect of a slow start and so , but the strategy will guarantee the club financial stability and growth.

Which is imo paramount to the club.

What is all this standards have dropped B5hite.

The club are going to bring who they wish, after that we and everyone else has to go with it I'm afraid.

totally with you on the boring financial stuff
you are absolutely right,

But Drinkwater?!?!?!?!

and also letting valuable and arguably better players leave the club ( not matic ) im talking RLC and Chalobah only to spend money to replace also makes no financial sense

any way I have been banging this drum for a while now think I jhave made my point

DINKWATER !!!!!!!

posted on 17/8/17

I know Mons, but the club seem to have a policy when a player is not happy and wants out they would prefer to move them on instead of fuelling a disharmonious dressing room.

Its a well known fact that Conte insists on harmony and team spirit.

Drink water, I'm not that unhappy with him, yes he may not be Matic , but he has other qualities.

I'm with you, would have kept RLC, but he is not a better player than DW, also DW has been better than Matic and offers more than him, the last two years at least.

Why would that mean my standards have dropped. We need a CM for cover urgently, DW is a league winner, probably the third best plaeyr in that league winning team, and he is a fighter.

People are obsessed with players in foreign leagues they've seen a handful of times, i've seen drinkwater a lot and usually thought he was a decent player.
