No end of a transfer window will ever rival the Torres to Chelsea one. Was mad banter leading up to and after that transfer. Even though we got bantered with the actual player and his performances

Ox £35m doesn't have the same ring to it as Carroll £35m

If Chelsea want Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain Arsenal players must be good enough, says Ian Wright

Some sources are saying the fee could actually be as high as £40m. That's a nice round figure if true

"If Sanchez and Ozil are free, they will be snapped up," Wright said. "Why can't we get these players to play for us? Why don't they want to play for us?"

Wright said Wenger "won't quit". The Frenchman signed a new two-year deal at the end of last season.

"He is literally a hermit to the game. He goes home and he's probably on his phone. It's all football and more importantly it's all Arsenal. You do feel it's almost like his blanket, his comfort blanket," Wright said.

"If he's not got Arsenal, I don't know what would happen to him.

Either way, potentially getting £40m for a player in the last year of his contract would certainly soften the blow of him leaving.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain: Chelsea set to sign Arsenal midfielder

The 24-year-old has started every game for the Gunners this season, including Sunday's 4-0 defeat at Liverpool, when he was substituted.

However, the England international has refused a new contract and his deal is due to expire in the summer.

Chelsea have declined to comment but it is understood a fee has been agreed for Oxlade-Chamberlain

Liverpool have also shown an interest, but Oxlade-Chamberlain is set to move to Stamford Bridge.

Conte apparently rates him (not his hairstyle, but his work rate). His deficiencies will be ironed out

He's a good player. Will fight Moses for the rwb position and get better too, cos he's got the pace, power and engine to do it. Still room for improvement at 24.

Sad to see him go.

Which means when he said he could see his future as being a central midfielder, he was chatting BS.

Well its meant to be the reason he prefers Pool. He wouldnt suit how Conte wants the dms to play and he certainly isnt in Fab's league

Think at rwb he could usurp Moses potentially even though i like Moses

posted on 28/8/17

No way he is starting in the CM position for Chelsea, he will most definitely a cover up for Moses.

We needed an upgrade, but we've been priced out of few RWB targets, so Ox will do

Actually it depends on Oxo's attitude. Arrogance seeps in at Arsenal and if you are immature you end up doing nothing. Buying younger squad players from Arsenal is a real danger. Barca have stopped buying players from us for exactly that reason. Bendtner, Denilson, Cesc, Song, Hleb, all done nothing in their first move away.
