If you'd been following these boards for as long as I have, you'd know GB is NOT a wum. Not all agree with him by any means and he comes out with some really weird stuff from time to time but a wum he ain't.
What numbers are Lemar and Van Dijk getting?
After several years of relative stagnation, this summer's transfers in the PL have opened up new horizons, especially for LFC.
I think its openly accepted across the board that our manager, of the top six with I'd say Poch in second place has created a thunderstorm. Rival fans appear to gnashing their teeth at every development; their own clubs failing, dismally in some cases, to generate enthusiasm amongst their fans. The word for that is 'envy' pure and simple.
Not that I/we haven't been envious of other clubs over the past 20+ years. Boy, have we spunkedsome serious dosh up the wall and achieved little.
At present, we are, relatively speaking in far better shape than before. The two Manc club are in early rebuild mode, following the brilliant management of Van Gal, not, and Peps realisation about the task he inherited. For each club, that's going to take more than one season to recover from.
Spurs? Still a solid club, they will get over the Wembley hoodoo. Chelsea? Again, rebuild mode, but struggling to recruit. Arsenal? After Sunday's abysmal performance, with Sanchez reportedly being refused permission to transfer - its all too late - Lemar declining to their invitation to commit hari kari by joining them, they are in bad shape.
And, to an extent, that's why we look in good shape, and we are in good shape. AND, players want to join us, not the other clubs. So the GBs of this world - I agree he isn't a sum, he's tried that and failed - expresses his pride in our club, and I share in that pride.
