After 72 Pl games in charge of Liverpool

I wonder if Klopp will take Liverpool as close to winning the title as Rogers. Doubt it.

Bit of a harsh comparison considering one of them had Suarez.

If he finishes in the top four then Klopp has done well.

They aren't anywhere near title challengers. They have a side on its day that can beat any top side but no depth for a long domestic league season.

To be fair to Klopp. Rogers had Gerrard, Sturridge and more importantly Suarez to call upon. Liverpool's only real world beater is Mane.

The title will be between City and United this year. For football to win let's hope it's City

Just shows how leaping about whilst pulling faces can work to your advantage

Chelsea are well in the title race. They can defend and score goals so they will be very close.

But Klopp pumps his fists and gives everyone bear hugs

I thought sacking Brodge was harsh at the time. Still do.

Klopp is a very very good managers but even the bets managers have blind spots.

Klopp is his inability to fix that defence

Rodgers had Suarez, Klopp is a better manager and I'm sure all Liverpool fans agree and are happy with him.

Got to agree with this. The team Brendan had was without a doubt a title winning team. Klopp's Liverpool are nowhere near and to have a statistic like that is pretty remarkable in my opinion.

I don't think there is much in it between Klopp and Brandon. The difference is, in Germany there is only one team really with Bayern but in the Pl there are plenty of teams competing for the title and top four.

Disagree, Rodgers did brilliantly well to get the best out of that team.

Except for Suarez and Sturridge it was an average team

It was a weird team Rogers had, brilliant in some areas with Suarez, Sturridge, Gerrard, Coutinho, Sterling and incredibly average in others Mignolet, Skrtel, Johnson, Flanagan and pretty much the entire bench with the likes of Allen, Agger, Aspas etc, It was a bit like the Blackburn team who won it '95.

Liverpool were the better side today until the IMO and were brilliant against Arsenal and managed to grind down a Palace team who they'd probably have drawn against last season, so there are improvements but the blind spot he has for the two keepers, Lovern and even Alexander-Arnold is a bit worrying.

I think the timing is what did Rogers, if Klopp had stayed at Dortmund or turned Liverpool down Rogers may have got another season or two but when a manager with that pedigree wants to join your club, especially when you're not in the CL it's difficult not to say "cheerio" to Rogers.

It went all downhill for Rodgers after Suarez left

He lost Suarez, Gerrard, Sterling and to some extent Sturridge through injury in very quick succession

that's 2/3rds of the entire starting attack of the side that finished 2nd. And arguably the 4 most important.
