How has it backfired?

I was proven right

Chelsea has suffered from playing two games a week

Only taken 8 points from 6 games directly after CL games

Even just this week Chelsea dropped points after a league cup game

My point was nothing to do with United. It was a very valid point that nearly every side - United included - drop points when playing two games a week rather than the relatively easy ride Chelsea had last season
