People still find him entertaining and would be good down the pub etc
This will turn, its already started and the worst of his callous incompetence hasn't come to bite yet
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Rishi Sunak will be in by that time
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They need to move him soon. He is riding a crest of a wave of popularity and good will from the furlough scheme. Now that has ended and the economy is going to be hit hard this winter, his popularity could tank if he goes down with this ship.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Economy in the toilet
Let's ship out the PM and promote the Chancellor
I'm not party political. In fact, I hate the fact that I really only have two options to vote for. Pulling people back to a party isn't really what I worry about.
I'd prefer to be able to vote based on policy and direction set. If I don't think a person is right for that, then I don't think they will be a good leader and wouldn't see them as a good Prime Minister.

I’d reform the entire political system and do away with parties full stop. Just have teams of experts, panels of experts for each department. Voting on each decision and expertly realising the policy.
We need to move away from politicians and get more experts involved.

The economy being in the toilet is down to Sunak or Covid-19? How was the economy doing pre-covid?
The Tories are going to have to find a way to shield Rishi. Really they need to move him from the front bench, so he can keep his current popularity and shake of links to the political disaster we are seeing.
The problem is, the Tories won't be able sack the chancellor who is popular following furlough. Leaving him will make the chancellor who spent loads and then oversaw a winter of discontent, with high inflation, tax rises and cuts to income of the poorest. Promoting him will make him a Gordon Brown figure, who spent then took charge as it collapses.
The media are pushing the narrative of him being a future Prime Minister at the moment. So it is obvious that is the way they will go, but his reputation could take a huge hit by that time.

He never really had a plan out of what he was doing. Said it at the time when everyone was praising him. He would only remain popular whilst the furlough was in place. It's easy to be popular when giving people free money. Less so when you need to make the public pay it back, but go easy on those at the top.
Sunak raised tax and will have to again soon enough, there is no chance the membership will vote for him.
