Anyone else enjoying the crypto meltdown (from an environmental point of view)?
It's dropped its power consumption significantly in the last 10 days, costs too much to mine the currency now, with *EACH* transaction using the same amount of power as the average American household uses in *50* days.
The entire network is now only consuming the same amount of power as Argentina does.. hopefully this drop in consumption will help with the fuel crisis.

Wife thought she had tickets to Harry Styles for her and daughter on PayPal, but she paid via PayPal friends and family, as ordinary PayPal goods n services would not release ticket to July 21st and concert was Dublin 22.6.22...so Mrs takes 142.99 out my bank and some scammer had it away on his toes with my wonga lol.

I'm so glad I'm a dinosaur. Never bought anything on line and never will.
I bought petrol a couple of years back and paid with my bank card. $20 got refused when I tried to pay through chequing account so paid from savings. But I was sure I had about $100+ in chequing so drove straight to bank.
Teller tells me "Oh well sir you made an electronic transfer." Just told him to check my accounts and see how many times I'd used an "electronic transfer".
He says none. still took 3 fookin days to get the money back into the account. Cheeky ¢unts.

Anyone else enjoying the crypto meltdown (from an environmental point of view)?
It's dropped its power consumption significantly in the last 10 days, costs too much to mine the currency now, with *EACH* transaction using the same amount of power as the average American household uses in *50* days.
The entire network is now only consuming the same amount of power as Argentina does.. hopefully this drop in consumption will help with the fuel crisis.

General scam query
Wife thought she had tickets to Harry Styles for her and daughter on PayPal, but she paid via PayPal friends and family, as ordinary PayPal goods n services would not release ticket to July 21st and concert was Dublin 22.6.22...so Mrs takes 142.99 out my bank and some scammer had it away on his toes with my wonga lol.
Now we know, Do not use PayPal friends n family, lesson learned and warning to any other niave innocents who trust folk🤔🤣

Buying tickets can be so dodgy - they are usually all bought by bots I think so they can be sold on for profit.
I usually just go through this website called DICE. If tickets are sold out then they can put you on waiting lists.

I'm so glad I'm a dinosaur. Never bought anything on line and never will.
I bought petrol a couple of years back and paid with my bank card. $20 got refused when I tried to pay through chequing account so paid from savings. But I was sure I had about $100+ in chequing so drove straight to bank.
Teller tells me "Oh well sir you made an electronic transfer." Just told him to check my accounts and see how many times I'd used an "electronic transfer".
He says none. still took 3 fookin days to get the money back into the account. Cheeky ¢unts.

The annoying thing with technolgoy are the constant changes and 'advancements'.
I particularly hate having to do what were straaight forward normal things via apps!
My mates account was robbed BECAUSE the toerags got into his banking app from his phone.
All these conviencies just provide more risks!!
