Tbh, I think the best bet is that he dies. He’s in pretty poor health, and he’s already sold his soul.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'd sooner see him disgraced than dead and sainted or treated as a martyr. Discredit his 'I'm a man of you.common people' crap by showing him for grifter he is.

But what can I see, I'm a hopeful dreamer

I’ve given up on this man being held to account.

Imagine if Starmer had been a chauffeur to Enoch Powell… we’d never hear the end of it.

Farage hates immigrants that much, that he’s only married two and brought a third in as a partner.

Anyone else here brought three immigrants into the country for cex? Yeah, me either.

What do you think would happen to Reform without Farage as its figurehead.

Would it go the same way as UKIP?

I'd imagine any grass roots candidate for leadership would implode the party/company. Would ppl accept a Tory import as its new leader?

They’d fold. Have you seen the quality of their councillors and MPs? Absolutely laughable.

Yep that's what I think.

The political equivalent of a one man team.

I think Trump is similar. Republicans won't collapse but I can't see anyone getting away with what he does and the majority will turn away from that side of the party.

My old man reckons the lunatic is going to go for a third term and then put his weird son in.

Another who’s health may do us all a favour.

I don’t think Trump is quite the same. There has been a cult built around (not by) him, but the movement has been shaped in such a way that it will be transferred from him to any successor fairly easily.

The MAGA movement already has values instilled, and fairly central in its definition, which aren’t actually shared by Trump. I think what we will see when Trump is forced to hand over the reins is a successor who actually looks closer to the Heritage Foundation’s vision for MAGA. (Unless the mainstream Republican establishment decides it’s time to get off the train and tries to wrestle back control of the party’s strategy).

Thiel has picked Vance as the successor but Vance doesn't have the charisma of Trump

It can only "work" with even more skulduggery

posted 2 days, 4 hours ago

Yeh I agree EP, but as Crouchie says it takes charisma. Imo to be a populist.

I'm hoping the more conventional part of the party wrestle back control. They're not great either but they're better than the current lunatics.

Could you imagine 50p Lee taking over Reform

posted 2 days, 3 hours ago

Reform would definitely collapse without Farage.

A Lee Anderson or Richard Tice has nowhere near the political ability of Farage, and I imagine their peak polling would be circa 10-15% without him.

posted 2 days, 3 hours ago

Look at what happened to the Tories without Bojo

posted 2 days, 3 hours ago

Various stories about Reform councils already falling apart and being all over the place. I think they’re going to get found out soon enough.

Already back peddling on their ‘pledges’.

Farage: “My point was that the 24-week limit was looking in serious jeopardy given that we actually spend a fortune saving babies at 22 weeks,” he said. “Maybe we need to rethink all of that because there is clearly a legal inconsistency.”

We try and save pregnancies that are at risk at every week you absolute cretin So if we're trying to save them at 12 weeks should we then limit abortions to 11! What a disingenuous pr111k.

What he's spouting is the thin end of the wedge. Argue to reduce below 24 weeks as a way in to eventually banning it altogether.

I can’t believe the facking fuss this Maccabi bullshiiit is causing at Number 10, this country is a bin and a half I swear

Ridiculous thing to wade into aye, obviously still shiiiit scared of being called antisemites

Wherever I look on this there's no balanced reporting though, the Tel Aviv fans are a bunch of hooligans and we don't want them in this country but UEFA haven't banned them.

West Midlands police have taken the decision because they can't police the fans and the counter protesters
