In Bale's last season it seemed like the other players felt they could be passengers and rely on Bale to get the goals to win the game. I hope this isn't happening with Kane.
This is my point mate. It really is starting to feel like that Bale season where the team are just relying on Kane to pull us out of a hole every week. Obviously tonight it made no difference but Kane is the only real shining light at the moment.
The positive thing is that when they are on form we do have the players to score goals and make things happen in Dele, Son and Eriksen. We didn't have three players like this in Bale's last season with us.
Eriksen and Alli have been taking it in turns to be bad the past few weeks. Well for Alli it's been longer. Not sure what's going on with them.
I wouldn't say we're quite as reliant on Kane as we were when we had Bale. We do have other important players in the team. Aldy's and Wanyama's absences are looking big for us.

Missing Walker also didn't notice this so much when Toby was about.

I thought Kane was pretty poor tonight, his goal apart. He doesn`t look as sharp as last season, even though he is still scoring goals. He has not quite got his shooting boots on yet. He doesn`t seem to be finding the space as much.
Why is the loss of form, the two fullbacks who gave you width one gone the other on his way, injuries that have upset the rhythm of the side,no players bought to counter any of this, and a manager who is fast becoming the tinkerman, the future don't look none too bright.
Not a member of the "Harry Kane Fan Club" and his performance is not always consistent. However, he did score a brilliant goal tonight.
As I'll keep saying all season, welcome to the Elite. It's the expectation that'll kill you. Tottenham need to be winning games like tonight to ever be a firebrand.

was going to say this, kane has not been in any great shakes recently, yet bale in his last season was unplayable. Kane is scoring the goals to maybe paper over the cracks of his and spurs performances? Missing wanyama and dembele as well as toby.
