West Ham were very organised, they mostly are against us at their place. We may not have been at our best today but that was as much down to West Ham as us, Hazard struggled to have his usual impact today.

I think we were too defensively set up from the start as well.

This.

Our formation and slow start played into West Ham's gameplan.

West Ham did not allow Hazard to play well. When playing agst opposition who set up to defend and defend well 3 -5- 2 it is asking way too much of Hazard who for the most part surrounded by 2 or 3 players

You might score more if you started with more attackers on the pitch.

irony alert and actuall United have surely disproved that theory

How? We play lore attackers than you and score more goals.

I am not in the slightest bit worried about Morata. there is nothing to be worried about a striker having a bad run of form but with stats of 9 goals in 15 appearances.

His finishing will come back, his movement and football brain is outstanding and he will get physically stronger the more he plays in the Pl

As for Conte, i am a huge fan but he is noy beyond scrutiny.

He seems to like us to start games slow and build into the game. I think that is fine when playing the best teams, but agst West Ham we should have gone for the jugular straight away.

They scored early due to our sloe start and then played a brilliant defensive game, but had we scored first it would most probably have been game over.

I am a bit worried. His link up play with Hazard and the rest of the team is great. I can't fault him on that at all. He is just missing far too many sitters.

A good striker will miss a chance that he should be scoring now and again but he is doing that an awful lot lately

I don't expect him to run around 4 players and score every game but at least score most of these sitters.

Hopefully this will not continue for much longer.

This is a problem of ours IMO. It highlights how much we rely on Hazard. If he has a bad game, there is no one else who can step up to the plate attacking wise, with this formatiom!

Brums watched the game for the first time when i got up this morning................feckin hard work sticking through the 90 mins..............but when I watch a full 90 minute game not live knowing the result i find I am able to absorb so much more about what is happening in the match.

When i watch a game live I am just to full of emotion and adrenaline to have a complete perspective of the match

I know what you mean Biggish, I watched it live and I'll record it off CTV - not sure if I'll be able to put myself through the torment again though!

It was pretty boring stuff Brums. but i must compliment West Ham on their defending.....they had 9 outfield players behind the ball all game long, but they all did their job brilliantly

Absolutely Biggish, a solid defensive display is something to be admired - nothing wrong with that!
