As for the W.A.C.A. Walt..
I'd love to be idling my days darn there,
But a couple of things, Very annoying.
They've said for weeks it's Sold out. (They say this every time) It Isn't. ?
There were hundreds of empty seats through out the day, As there will be every day ??
(To do with 'members' getting first dibs -n- all that Jazz.)
This next bit is typical 'Perth'.
Did they show the ques to get in this morning on British TV ? Absolutely pathetic.
Some of them must have been shuffling forward for hours in the 'snake' line, Why they do such things is beyond me. Bag checks, pedantic enforcement...on top of Aussie arrogance, I struggle to remain calm.

If like Adelaide they offer entry by a "Gold coin donation' ie, $1 or $2 on the last day, I might venture darn there, That would be if England or the Aussies looked like wrapping the game up in a few overs.. because being Monday, There'd hardly be anyone there if it was a no contest job. ('91 springs to mind,)

I'm probably getting too old ! I can't put up with the Bull sheet these days.. Rules, regulations, health & safety
+ It's on live TV for free, replays, insider info, Continual stats....

Delighted with the turn of events at the days end,
Oh how I'd love it if we could break the hoodoo in this last test at the W.A.C.A.

Side Issue, The atmosphere at the Twenty-20 night games is terrific .... The Scorchers have outstanding local support . Nigh on always a full Parochial house.

Oh Dear !
Clean bowled,

What was I saying about "Ought could happen"

Will the Ozziz be batting after dinner time ?

posted on 15/12/17

Yes . Indeed they are.
They've just asked on the '9' Cricket show, 'Will 403 be enough'.
Darn's prediction. No.
The Aussies will have a 1st innings lead

Very unusual for Perth ?

Cloud cover ! 27c <-- 57% humidity
In December ?????
The weather Gods are trying to give us a helping hand
FFS pitch 'em up. Swing, Seamers, Lets get after them.

There was wasn't there Walt

Unfortunately a day to forget
But how do you forget such marvelous batting...
Aussie TWETRZ. .

Mich Marsh comes in at no6 & sprays our so called 'quicks' any & everywhere.
Our top order batsmen can't do that consistently.

Much been said on our Aussie commentary about how poor our bowlers are at pitching it up to a full length, and making the batters defend the stumps.
This has been the problem for nigh on 10 years now. Plus a distinct lack of genuine pace. 135kph is the 'old' medium pace tag, as was back then.
Our youth need to hit the nets.
And HARD with some thrown in.
McDermott,
Lee,
Mcgrath,
Johnson..... Yeah, Like them. But English,

Darns prediction.
I reckon they'll double the lead to around 300 with 'Big bash' batting as quickly as possible, & stick us in.
They're super confident now, & I think our Lads will capitulate yet again, unable to see the day out.

Unmitigated disaster.

Pouring darn here right NOW !

A different humidity & atmosphere tomorrow, with a possible chance the game might be rained off come Monday Although all the heavy stuff is forecast for Sunday. particularly from 5pm onwards.
All the more important to bat through tomorrow & hold out.

Very strong westerly's forecast for ALL DAY here !
35/40 kph.
With what looks like disruptive heavy showers blowing through. I'd assume there will be multiple stoppages.

(For Perth) Bloody freezing too ! 19c in December

Don't think I've ever seen sweaters at the WACA.

They'll bat the first session with a 250 lead, then we'll be 4 down at the close

posted on 17/12/17

Terrific start by our lads.
Shame we couldn't get a couple of those wickets early on yesterday.
The heavy rain should arrive around 3:30pm.
I'd have a guess and suggest there will be no play there after today.

posted on 17/12/17

Dance,, Do the Rain dance
3:10pm..
I wasn't far out.
They're taking an early tea ! It's looking like the rain will intensify as the afternoon progresses.

Hopefully.
Hopefully there'll be no more play today. Fingers crossed.

Why ?
because another woeful start with the bat by our Lads.
