Im unclear as to these reactions? He had a good game against a blunt everton attack. He was guilty of poor positioning which led to the goal, and Matip certainly didnt seem to benefit from this alleged organisation. I think you would need to see a little more of him before you can draw any real conclusions. Pretty good debut though.

Poor positioning? He was up for a corner in the opposite box when Everton countered and scored
His organisation was excellent the way he was shouting at others and telling them where to go. I was shocked he was doing that in his first game.

He's a good player, and he will improve Liverpool, but his display wasn't flawless as some have made out. I think that's fine, no reason to expect that on a debut, but I can see that because I dont have partisan blinkers on.

You are correct in a way, if you only measure is how you preform against spurs, and I assume that things havent have declined so much that spurs arent seen as the only team you are bothered about.

He's played four games, Christ. As I said, on the whole he has done well so far and we'll get better as he settles.
