Watched the first episode and got very bored, it wasn’t for me. Also I can’t fecking stand Brummies and their accents.

My eldest's mate is one of the young lads in series one

You need to watch it from the first series, it'll make more sense.

Series 2 and 3 were magnificent but Adrien Brodys ridiculous overacting took the edge off 4 for me. Alfie Solomons will be badly missed in series 5.

Yea Brody channelled his inner Vito Corleone a little too much. But series 4 episode 1 was superb

Just finished season 3.

Really don't get the appeal of Tom Hardy mumbling his way throuh another role. But people love him so meh

Been on many of the sets for Peaky Blinders, working on pre production set up and filming.
All very interesting.
New series is already in production, on set in a couple of weeks filming in Cheshire, Liverpool and Manchester.

We see things very differently.

The scene where Solomons gives his back handed apology to Arthur then takes the p1ss out of his religion or when Tommys son is missing the bit where Alfie reminds him of how many mothers are without their boys due to him are highlights of the show for me.

the bit where Brody goes down to London to meet with Hardy, that scene was pure brilliance

Yes for me that was that was the best scene Brody was in, anybody who won't miss Alfie (if he's dead) has not been watching properly.

Haha, I hope so. Tommy certainly made it clear he wasn't going to give him a good home.

that's so cool, I'm coming up to a year now working in the industry. It's been fun.

Have you provided any construction for programmes filmed in Pinewood, Jlou? Or is it just northern programmes you branch out to?

nice work, my eldest is studying broadcast media, up at media city salford

posted on 10/1/18

I graduated in Broadcast Media nearly two years ago, different uni though. I think it was a waste of time though, in TV it's experience that's valued over degrees.

To be honest, we've been offered work further afield, but it's a bit of a balancing act with other on going contracts that mostly based in and around the north west.
As you say, it really is a fascinating business to be in or around, watching the amount of time effort and money that goes into making these productions. From historical research, set dressing, lighting, and filming, and that's before you even think about editing and post production.
My 15 year old daughter is very creative, artistic and looking to see what she might want to do in the future, and I have told her this might be exactly the type of industry she might like to get into.

Yea maybe, Salford atleast he has BBC and ITV there. he's done music videos for BBC introducing. but to be honest half of what he tells me goes over my head

Really?
That's interesting to hear.

I'd kill to work in media city, it's a big target of mine. The place is gorgeous.

I interviewed for Dragons Den a month back, got to the last 12 applicants and missed out because I lacked experience in certain areas. I was gutted.
