That tweet confuses matters.

He wants to go to City but wants to be at Arsenal on the 1st Feb. What?

posted on 12/1/18

Probably go at the end of the month for £15m.

Haha they’ve even thrown the £35m figure in. Sanchez will just wait for the summer, unless we offer him silly wages.

Think Simon Stone was meant to write he doesn’t want to be at Arsenal on the 1st Feb.

Part of me thinks could we not just make a substantial bid in the region of 70-80mil for both Sanchez and Ozil to secure their services and put this bed?

Pep revealed Jesus is returning in a few weeks as well, which probably is why this story has leaked.

The Premier League leaders value Sanchez at £20 million due to the 29-year-old having just six months remaining on his Arsenal contract, and sources have told ESPN FC that City will not meet Arsenal's £35m asking price or agent fees which amount to £5m.

That would be madness. 80mil for players free to leave in 6 months.

Arsenal to get more than the fee they paid Barcelona with only 6 months left on his deal is another example of football being phucked.

What do you think,

Saving face knowing the deal is dead or playing games with Arsenal?

No idea what’s going on, Jose’s press conference is in an hour. I really hope we are interested, I’d pay £35m for Sanchez. He would galvanise our attack.

I'm sure city did this in the summer too. If they just offered the amount £60Mil i July it would have been accepted. Instead they waited until deadline day and were surprised when Arsenal pulled.put due to no replacement.

If they want him just bid £30-35 mil and be done with it. Not like they are shy of any money considering they are funded by an entire country.

I like Sanchez and I'm fully behind Jose and the club.To go places you need to show the ambition to sign the top players and Sanchez is one of them.

£15m for a player like Sanchez is really nothing in the current market. City don’t really need him so I’m not surprised they aren’t splashing the cash for him.

Why would Sanchez go to a sinking ship like City? They have such an ageing squad with Silva, Aguero, Toure, Kompany among many others all the wrong side of 30. They are on the verge of a major transition and will be in the wilderness for years. United have the best young squad in the world with the best young player in every position. Best keeper (De Gea) Best midfielder (Pogba) Best number 10 (Lingard) Best forward (Rashford) Best winger (Martial). Come join the most exciting and promising team in world football Alexis

They'll get him on a free in the summer then.

With Jesus returning in a couple of weeks or so there is no real desperation to sign Sanchez, not that there was desperation anyway.

If Arsenal want the full £35m it seems United would be willing to pay that amount, but if Sanchez really doesn't fancy United then the saga could stretch until Summer when he then walks away and goes wherever.

Jesus returning I a few weeks is a con to try and get Arsenal worried.

Arsenal: Guess we're stuck with him till summer then. No one else is mad enough to pay that.

Ed: Hold my drink.

You lot must surely be delighted at the prospect of signing Sanchez ?? He's a brilliant player and will significantly improve your attack. Can't believe we're not at least trying to land him as well.

Not getting my hopes up yet, we've been sold far too many false dawns over the years. Still think we are being used to speed the deal up.

Stage is set for us, especially if there’s obscene agents fees to pay. That’s our kind of party.
