Pretty much hits the nail on the head.
Dembele gives away too many fouls
And Tripper better than Aurier, I would agree, marginly, Aurier makes far too many mistakes over Tripps.
I think if Aurier learns how to be more selective when he tackles, then he will become a top full back for us.
He is impetuous, but I am sure that Poch & his team are aware of that and acting accordingly.
It wasn't just the dossier that helped Newport, it was a combination of several things:
The Newport players adrenaline would have contributed to their play.
The ground would have helped them more than us.
The flood lighting was apparently not the same standard as required in the PL. It was commented on several times that Verthongen & other players seemed to be trying to adjust their eyes because of the lights.
And finally where I think Poch went wrong was in playing Sissoko, Dembele & Wanyama at the same time. All very strong and physical but little creativity between them. This in my opinion was a major factor in us not putting this game to bed at the first attempt.
Did Lamela even play against Newport?
So this is Newport's scout attending the previous game?
Do Spurs have any weaknesses that aren't based around Aurier?

Trippier is no where near as good as Aurier. He somehow went from a adequate back to better than walker in two months
Hopefully we sell him this summer and let KWP play his correct position.
I'm starting to think KWP might be the best right back at the club
What worries me is that Aurrier and Sanchez look shaky together, hopefully they can build up an understanding soon.
Lets be honest, Sanchez hasn't looked particularly good in a back 2. Much more suited to the back 3 role where his lack of experience doesn't get exposed as much.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
sadly yes...... No back up for Kane, Central midfield lack creativity, no width, no pace
Cant figure Aurier out.... For everything he does well, he does something stupid. Looks like a poor man's Danny Alves to me.... Not surprised PSG sold him
In Summary
Michel Vorm reluctant to come out to collect crosses because of his small stature.
Eric Dier is one-paced and could concede possession if pressured.
Mousa Dembele commits needless fouls.
Dele Alli had a tendency to be selfish.
Warned of the top quality crosses and set-piece deliveries of Ben Davies.
Serge Aurier commits too early allowing attackers to have the beating of him.
Aurier also guilty of getting too tight to his opponent leading to him committing a foul.
Auriers crosses lacking quality and his partnership with Davinson Sanchez called into question.
Aurier and Sanchez struggle to communicate with each other lead to space being left behind the pair for their opponents to exploit.
FINALLY, Do not to leave Kane unmarked at corners
Well done Newport. Now lets put 5 past the fackers at Wemberly..
Your situation with Kane is an awkward one
He's so good that to get some true 'healthy competition', a player that would arrive and believe they could compete for a starting role, it would probably be £80m plus.
Any of Europes best youngsters with potential, would probably move somewhere else with more chance of a starting spot, or to a side that play 433 as they could hope for a wing forward role if they can't right away become the main man.
The system you play, and the quality of Kane makes it hard to sign anyone other than players near the end of their careers, happy to be back up to Kane.
No doubt you could get better than Llorente though.

Inside forwards, like a Son or Fekir etc are the way to get around it.
Probably, but then if Kane does face a month out, it's not a true replacement for your center forward.
Hopefully we can change style to suit, I would argue that you would've said the same thing about Firmino a few years back.

Yeah I can see Tripps leaving, I'm sure Aurier will get much better in the next 12 months
Without being terrible Dembele, Eriksen and Dele are not playing as well as last season.
Obviously Wanyama, Lamela and Rose are coming back from injuries and need to be given a bit of time
For me Trippier is the one who is furthest behind where he was at the end of last season and despite Aurier having the odd rush of blood he has been by far the better of the 2 in recent weeks.
Aurier will improve over the next 12 months and far exceed Tripper, at present it's close, both have their faults, I can't see Tripper get any better
