Quality signing. Expect lots more in the summer to add to this.

If Jota, Neves and Boly are on the teamsheet next season you would have to be hopeful we will do ok

Can't wait to see Jota (and Costa) make the step up to the premier league. They will be playing against players of their own standard and better instead of the crap they have to play against now. This " If you can't beat them, batter them" mentality is an insult to players with the sort of talent that Jota, Costa, Boly, Neves and Saiss have.

My old squash coach used to say "If you want to really learn the game and improve, you have to play against players that are better than you." When Jota is given the chance to pit his wits against top class defensive players I think he will then show his true class.

Fantastic news, he seemed happy here and popular but good to get it confirmed, he is the player I look forward to watching the most

Why is he not signing now then? Does anything said today guarantee he definitely signs in the summer?

Looking forward to seeing Jota and Neves in the Premiership. Hopefully with Boly there too.

This was exactly my thought. If he is going to sign in June, why not now? Has he signed something to say he is going to sign something else? Doubt it.

It could be something to do with the FFP rules. Plus the fact that if we do go up there will be 100m quid in the coffers.

We already had an agreed fee with Madrid, so I read yesterday's announcement as confirmation that we have Jota's agreement to sign as well. Presumably he can enter into a pre contract agreement with us, with the blessing of his current owners.

We've said that we continue to consider the other loanees and haven't ruled out taking the option on any or all of them at the end of this season. I think Boly is the most obvious 'he's if he wants to stay with us in the prem. For me, Bona has done enough too especially at the price we have agreed. Vinagre has had little chance to prove his worth yet, and I suspect we won't sign N'Diaye unless he keeps his place in the side now ahead of Saiss.

All to do with ffp as I suspect is our low spending this month. There is evidently a question mark over the legality of these pre agreements so our arrangement may be little more than a promise at the moment but at least the player and clubs have agreed terms so should be a formality

Sorry to read about Sako today. Worked hard to finally get established in the Palace team and then picked up an injury last night that will likely see him miss most of the rest of the season

Stevenson from Cov to Wolves and Marshall from Wolves to Millwall look certainties today, but will we see any more comings or goings?

posted on 31/1/18

Stevenson from Cov to Wolves not a certainty and evidently is unlikely
