"He's quick, can dribble, has a brilliant engine, has good vision, can play good one touch passing , can finish, can create, can play wide and centrally, works hard defensively (caused us awful problems when they robbed us in the game earlier this season with his pressing), is English"

"Would anyone want us to take him for around £12m to £15m"

----------------------------------------------------------------------
That's what I recon he'll go for personally.

How much do you recon he'd cost?

£15m

Lingard is fulfilling his potential at the club he grew up in. He's becoming a part of the furniture at OT. No way he is leaving.

Really? Always got the impression he was one of those deemed not good enough by your fans. He'd had dogs abuse for a few years from what I've seen, like Welbeck, Cleverley, Evans and others I can't recall right now.

If you spend like you will to catch City, do you really think he'll not want a move. Doesn't strike me as a "not even make the bench and just take his money" type.

What would you recon he'd go for?

We give you Silvestre and Welbeck, you give us RVP.
We give you Mkhi, you give us Sanchez.
We give you Lingard? You’d have to give us something special.

you've described a £50m player minimum

no idea what he would go for but I reckon it'll be a smidge over £12-£15m...
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I've mentioned his qualities, but that's only half the story. He won't be getting in their team and may want a move. I'll take the fee out so as not to distract from the question like it seems to be doing.

We would buy him. How much would you expect him to be sold for young man?

He’ll be in the team next year. Nobody plays the same 11 every week . If he keeps improving at this rate Jose won’t be looking for anyone in his position anyway.

He’s been great this year, he’s living the dream, why would he want to leave?

The dabbing Stewart Downing? No thanks. Iwobi is better.

You'll spend massively again and he'll lose his place. It's your way now, as demonstrated by Mourinho's comments & actions in summer windows. Lingard may not want to not make the bench at 25 years old.

What would you say he'd cost if United decided to sell.

Lingard has been in superb form for us this season.

not the best player in the world but much better than people give him credit for.

Fergie said he would be a late developer and he is proving the great one right.

No way is Jesse Lingard leaving Man Utd. He has been at Man Utd so many years and only last 2 and a half seasons he has got his chance to shine. Now he has improved his finishing he is one of our best players.

posted on 31/1/18

OK on a serious note, he's looking very decent and has a tidy finish on him. Obviously i want him to have a terrible career with United, but for England he's looking a valuable player. Can see him, Sterling out wide for us and doing well. Perhaps throw Rashford in as well for the three behind Kane. Good 1st team attack we're building up.

Yeah, we have a lot of fans like that, I agree. It's the management and coaching staff that count, Fergie liked him, LVG liked him and now Jose likes him, which is all that matters.

The OT crowd seem to like him, which counts for more than Twitter and FB fans.

What do I reckon he'd go for? Well, I don't reckon we'd sell him unless he becomes surplus to requirements.

He can run a lot as well. To be honest if Man Utd sold Lingard then we truly have lost it.

He is our 2nd highest scorer and is one of the most clinical players this season although he still misses some easy chances he is more consistent now at scoring then missing.

Arsenal getting rid of Giroud is crazy as he is the most efficient striker they got and most effective.

Yeah it'll be nice to see England have a fresh face at this world cup. Looking forward to it for players like Kane, Sterling, Alli and Lingard getting to give it a go.

Always say I don't care about the national team and then as soon as a world cup starts creeping around I get the bug again.
