He's gonna be here untill at least 2019 at least

He’ll almost certainly be here until the end of his deal. There doesn’t even seem to be any pressure on him from anyone. No one in the media questions his job, only a small section of fans on occasions are visibly demanding him to leave, which when they do isn’t really made a big deal out of. The owner and board happy with him. Most fans are resigned to the fact there is nothing that can be done until wenger gets too old or fed up and finally quits, so there doesn’t seem to be an appetite for any large protests.

Unless fans can organise regular protests, they’ll be no pressure on him, and we’ll basically be stuck with him until he gives up. Because he seems to be the only manager in history that no matter how crap results are, no one properly questions if he should leave or not.

It’s odd the media never really properly question him. There’s the odd bit. But on the whole, they just blame the players. Any other manager if they lose about three games everyone on TV is asking if he should be sacked

Arsene Wenger is good copy for them. An easy target. If they hound him out, they lose a 'character' to write about and mock.
Also, if they do get him sacked, Arsenal just might replace him with a great manager, and start beating their precious Man U again, and they surely don't want that!

Hey
I remember listening tot he announcers say, back during the final Highbury celebration, that Wenger was manager for life, according to the board.

That's what the announcers said. Maybe the board has changed, but he's still the manager

This is a joke right? Wenger has consistently faced relentless pressure and criticism from all quarters of the media for about 13 years. Since when had Wenger not faced criticism?

Is everyone on this board permanently drunk?

Well maybe I don’t watch enough of the media. But compared to other managers who are on a bad run, he doesn’t seem to be directly questioned enough on a regular basis. Fans of course basically all want him to leave, but again it seems to be a big rumbling, then die away from any noticeable area other than social media. Then you see many pundits calling fans stupid and be careful what you wish for. I’m not saying there is no pressure on him, but compared to others it’s definitely less. Everyone seems resigned to the fact he’s untouchable

Its probably more to do with the criticism amongst fans being well over the top whist people within football who have high intelligence are able to assess things in a more measured way. Ja606 is not the benchmark for intelligent debate tbh

I dont think he is gonna get away with it this time
The way things are going we are gonna be 35 points off the top by the end of the season. We will be closer to relegation than the top. Year on year we are getting worse. In the last 6 months we've seen a huge turnover in players well for Arsenal anway, there have been changes behind the scenes in coaching and support staff and yet things are getting no better. They only thing that is the same is the man sitting in oversized puffer coat. Even the most deluded board members will see the problem.
