wouldnt say arsenal or underachieving. like you say, top 5 would be a reasonable position to be in.

Southampton have been poor though.

seems their policy of selling their best players and replacing them with kids through the acadamy or from the lower leagues has run its course.

Yeah Southampton and Stoke are underachieving going on last season, I wouldn't have had them fighting relegation if asked last August.
