I'll be in the away end tomorrow. Didn't know you'd not sold as many as you hoped. Should have given more to us as there is no doubt they'd have sold out, United away tickets are like gold dust.

Unless this thread is totally no holds barred, then it doesn't belong on this board

We are the Angela Merkel of match-threads.

Everyone can come and stay as long as they like; say and do what they want; doesn't matter who they upset or what their motives areas you can just ignore it and look the other way.

Bit of a clusterfck, admittedly.

If the EU did match-threads....

We definitely could do with a win ahead of the midweek game. We've been out of sorts since Sanchez's arrival, though not down to him imo. I'm not convinced with how Jose is setting as up.

For me Martial should have stayed out left, with Sanchez either more central or on the right.

Pogba hasn't been in form, but he's also not a dm. We've all seen what he can do higher up the pitch.

I get managers who have a system and want the players to fit into it. But i think you've also got to play to your strengths with the players you have if they possess the quality to win games.

In reply to 'Mike' and the poor ticket sales.

I've read elsewhere That United had 9000+ applications for tickets for this game.. It is a shame that 'pay on the gate' can't be implemented for obvious reasons.
Yeah it might have meant and even split between support for both sides, So What !
Huge amounts of missed revenue because people can't behave

I understand most TOWN fans have paid very little as a 'per game' entry fee this season (£99 season cards for some this campaign ) £200 as an average !
But it was £30 last season in the FA cup v 'City' ..
I can't understand why there is so little interest from the local support base ?

Yeah your season tickets are dirt cheap, so fair play for that. Would assume that based on those prices fans would be able to afford to fork out for cup games, unless they feel they shouldn't be charged loads more than they pay 'per game' for the league when they may rest players etc.

Hudds fans are tight!

I thought it a reasonable OP until I read the bit about theatrics and a definite non-penalty for the assault on McTominay. You obviously don’t understand football. Blatant pen and Sanchez hacked down every time he got the ball!

Anyway, I really hope we win well tomorrow but I fear the lads just won’t show up again and Town players will treat it as another cup final (obviously, they’re playing United) just like the league game there.

Good luck all

I sort of assumed the McTominay bit was a poor joke, and gave him the benefit of the doubt there.

Maybe Mike! Sorry if that’s the case, must not be in the best of moods today

Unless he's serious, which would be a concern

Come on ....
Just like the antics of the un-Real & PSG players the other night, total kiddology, Cheating, trying to 'old man' the ref ! Going down at the slightest touch... screaming, rolling around, grimacing.
THERE'S NOTHING WRONG WITH THEM,

United were the same against Town, The Ref was having none of it, Toughen up you Mary Ellens,
like I said, A different tale if it's Keane &Co dishing out the clogging,
I'll concede both sides were at it, hardly one way, er.......What do you know about Football Jon,
Should-a gone to spec savers,

In any other seasons town fans would be desperate to see this game. However we've played Utd twice now and we've seen all what man Utd are.So no one is really bothered. I know utd fans couldn't give two curly turds about us, but likewise.

I'll watch the match in the warmth with a few beers

Wasn't expecting your fans to go to the game to see United, more to see your own side

99 quid for a season ticket but still less than half full for a Saturday cup game, not much commitment there. Would have expected all the fans that missed out on the ST due to demand do be there I guess.

I can't understand 'why'... they can't offer 'Pay at the gate' ? Clearly 5000 in Manchester keen to attend who missed out on tickets,
around 16,000 as is expected to be there...
Cringe worthy, but 21,000 (albeit 9 thou 'Reds' would be better.

Sanchez is a diving fooker! Is that controversial enough?

Nice to see the Leeds fans on the thread! You’ll see two Premier League teams battling for advancement to the next round!

Where’s Mike DropKick?

This match could be a cracker or a damp squib. Will both teams go for it with relatively full strength teams or go with fringe players? I think the latter, to be honest. Both clubs have different agendas.

What a joke of a kick off time! A ball ache time for us brits in Oz!

No idea what sort of side you'll put out.

I'd imagine we will play a strong 'on paper' side (all first team squad players), but there will be rotation for freshness, and injuries, so we'll probably see another disjointed performance.

I would hope he picks a strong side to try and get the players to gel a bit and boost confidence before the Seville and Chelsea games next week.
