Just imagine SA post 350+ and Aus chase that down. It will all be good until Steve smith faces the media again. Congratulations on your win but what do you think about the pre planned cheating? Not sure the Aussies will want to win this match now
Am glad South Africa have shown some spirit and not backed down over this series. Its been a very heated series. Australia tried their bullying and ended up cheating to win.
Liverpool it’s about doing it the correct way. Keep shining the ball from one side and let the other side roughen up. If teams started resorting to cheating then not long before we see reverse swing within 5 overs of the start of the game.
Some folks forgot how stupid Afridi looked biting the damn ball right in front of so many cameras and the crowd too.. I think that was the most blatant case of ball tempering.. Now back to Aussies, they are known cheats and let’s see how ICC punishes these rascals but don’t hold ur breath as I don’t have much faith in them.
Viru. I think all teams cheat. be it with rubbing things into the ball from mouth to ball. Or throwing the ball into the turf and so on. Even finger nails.. do all the players get checked to see what is on the end of a fingernail? u could easily stick a bit of metal to the end of the finger. and then discard it laters.
I think its pretty obvious it goes on. Just the aussie player got caught in the act.
Different rules and punishments for different countries. I hope u all understood my facts..
Imagine if any Indian was involved and Broady’s Dad was the umpire!
This the problem some idiots don’t understand here. They just generalize every country and every crime. U can’t compare oranges to apples. U can’t argue that a fist fight is equivalent to murder or rape. Also the fines, punishments are not fair either depending on your country of origin especially by ICC. But they are happy to beg bloody money from us. Ungrateful cu***ts!
Fact I think you bringing racism in to when there isn't any.
You do realize a black cricketer (Rabada) two game ban was rescinded. Its nothing to do with skin colour or what country a person/s is from.
Chris Broad was lenient match official. That's why he let a lot go..
I wish people would stop looking at it this way.. Anyway If Anderson was proven 100% to be cheating he would deserve a ban. But the fingernail thingy wasn't conclusive.
Australians don't like losing and will cheat.. I remember a series in India where the likes of Ponting was claiming catches that clearly bounced and never walked when he obviously hit the ball
But its a matter of proving they wilfully set out to cheat. rather than it happening and they benefit from it. But not deliberately intending to do so..
Today was evidence they predetermined to gain and advangted and should be punished and quite rightly .

Agree with this Liverpool... but the Aussies have a ‘holier than tho’ attitude and have a hypocrisy like no other teams. That's what happen when bullies get a taste of their own medicine... they have been doing to the rest of the world for no of years, from racist comments to personal jibes in the name of banter & in AUS it's done by hundreds & thousands of spectators too (according to opposition players)... but agree all Teams involved at some point or another
Also Smith as a captain will face a lot of backlash. He said they had pre planned this and threw Bancroft under the bus to take the responsibility. Bancroft being a junior didn’t have the guts to say no. This whole thing is farcical. If the camera’s didn’t catch all the things that went on on the pitch, I am sure smith wouldn’t have owned up for this and let Bancroft face the charges. The fact that Darren Lehman was caught secretly using a walkie talkie to telll Renshaw to go and tell Bancroft to hide the tape meant that one of smith or Lehman had to own up.
Anyway, surely the first rule of ball tampering with the ball is to only implement it when you play at home and the broadcaster has your back
Afridi I agree on how Australia approach things..
They have got worse under Smith ,Warner is a smirky little oik that winds people up.
They have set out to try and play the mind games with SA from day one. Am glad South Africa have stood upto them.
Would be nice to hear from the aussie pundits on this subject after they accused England of ball tampering
Would also be nice to know who the ‘leadership group’ consists of...
We had all that crap from Lyon how hes gonna retire England cricketers before the ashes and so on..While England kept completely quiet.
I wish England would show more passion now and then. But not result is silly word and emotional games.

Liver..... Just see the history of ICC. Now Rabada’s case is like an outlier one. Don’t forget he had to appeal the decision and it is one of few rare cases. But long story short, I hope ICC does justice in such a blatant case and with great video evidence. We have to wait and see what happens!

Perfect footage of the incident there. I just don't understand why you would even attempt such stupidity these days..there are hundreds of cameras around the ground watching every little thing you do. What on earth made them think they would get away with it?
Pure cheating, both definitely deserve a ban.
That first video is so damning. The fact he’s even got the audacity to then lie to the umpires claiming he’s just rubbing it against the black cloth is quite something else. With dozens of camera angles available nowadays you have to question how desperate and lacking in brain cells the Aussies really were in trying to attempt something like this. Also don’t care what Smith says but there is 0 chance Lehmann didn’t know or authorise what was going on. Nothing the Aussies say from here on in can be taken as truthful tbh.
The only thing I can say is fair play for at least not letting Bancroft be the fall guy and accepting the responsibility. although it was probably with the intention of being let off lightly.
By admitting it was a preconceived idea and planned by multiple members of the team, it would be a farce if members of the team are not punished appropriately.
Also makes you wonder how many times they (and indeed other teams) have done it previously and not been caught?
This will be as big an incident as the underarm bowling incident in Aussie history. I hope the Saffer crowds remember how the Aussie media and crowds crucified du Plessis in Australia!
Till now SA were known to end england captains careers, today Australia’s bites the dust. Seems to be a lot of backlash back in Australia with many prominent players and politicians calling for Smith and leadership group to be sacked of vice captaincy and captaincy.
Absolute disgrace. Throw the book at them all, especially Smith..

I wouldnt even praise them for not throwing bancroft under the bus. Can you imagine what woukd have happened if bancroft took the full brunt of this? Eventually it would have all come out
Can’t believe the outrage that has been made of this. Ball tampering happens all the time. The SA skipper Faf has been caught twice tampering with the ball. All of the none Asian countries are at it.
Kash every team in cricket hate Aus, this is a golden opportunity to vent all that frustration and make a big fuss.
